Spring Training

Baseball fans get double the pleasure during Spring Training when they visit St. Pete/Clearwater because not one but two Major League teams have southern homes in the area. The Toronto Blue Jays prepare for the long season at TD Ballpark in Dunedin, and the Philadelphia Phillies practice at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater. Check out all the 2023 spring training games!
PGA Golf Valspar Championship

The Valspar Championship tees off each year at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor.

Whether you're an occasional hacker with a wicked slice or a weekend warrior with a low handicap, there's nothing more exciting than watching the pros play. You have that opportunity each spring as the PGA TOUR's Tampa Bay Championship comes to the St. Pete/Clearwater area. The tournament takes place at the renowned Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor. According to a recent Golf Digest survey, the Copperhead Course was ranked as the top course in Florida. This full-fledged FedEx Cup event always promises an exciting field. The tournament, which includes 144 PGA TOUR golfers, benefits many local area charities.
Tall Ships Festival

The tall ship Pride of Baltimore II will be one of the magnificent vessels in Tall Ships St. Pete.
March 30 - April 2, 2023
Step back in time and head to Port St. Petersburg, on the St. Pete bayfront just south of Albert Whitted Airport, to check out the four-day Tall Ships Festival. See the fleet of tall ships, climb aboard these magnificent vessels and maybe even set sail on one of them. During the festival, enjoy food trucks, craft beer, live music and street performers.
Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival

Spy an iguana and lots more creative sand sculptures at the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival.

See Clearwater Beach’s famous white sand put to amazingly creative use at the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival. In addition to showcasing scores of sand-sculpting masterpieces, the festival will also feature a children's play area, street performers, artisans, live entertainment, weekend fireworks, sand-sculpting classes, speed sand demonstrations and a master sand-sculpting competition.
Tampa Bay Blues Festival

The Tampa Bay Blues Festival brings national headliners to St. Pete's Vinoy Park.
April 14 - 16, 2023
More than a dozen national blues bands will take to the stage in waterfront Vinoy Park for the 27th annual Tampa Bay Blues Festival in mid-April. Groove to the sounds of Robert Cray, Tower of Power, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Tab Benoit, Ana Popovic, Mr. Sipp and more. Bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy food, craft beer and wine at the festival. Buy tickets in advance or get them at the gate (cash only). Free shuttles will run from area parking garages to the park.
Mainsail Art Festival

The Mainsail Art Festival showcases art in a wide range of media, from painting to ceramics.
April 22 - 23, 2023
For nearly 50 years, the free Mainsail Art Festival has brought high-quality art to St. Pete's Vinoy Park. Ranked as one of the top fine art and design shows in the U.S. by Sunshine Artist Magazine, Mainsail features more than 250 juried fine art and craft exhibitors in ceramics, fibers, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, oil/acrylic/watercolors, photography, sculpture and wood. Live music, a Kids Create Art activity tent, Young at ART Student show and Culinary Arts food court round out the exciting event.
Spring King of the Beach Fishing Tournament

The Spring King of the Beach Fishing Tournament always draws lots of participants.
April 27 - 29, 2023
The oldest and richest kingfish tournament in the United States comes to Madeira Beach twice every year – in spring and fall, when the Kings are running on Florida's Gulf coast. If you fish for Smoker Kings, you should be fishing the annual Old Salt Spring King of the Beach Kingfish Tournament.
