Top Things to Know about the 2024 Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival

There's no better way to see Clearwater Beach's famous white sand in action. This 17 day festival brings more than 1,000 tons of sand to life in a 21,000 square-foot walk-through exhibit at Pier 60.

The festival also includes a children's play area, street performers, artisans, live entertainment, weekend fireworks, sand sculpting classes, speed sand demonstrations, and a master sand sculpting competition. Bring your camera and create your own story or take advantage of the complimentary photo with a general admission ticket!

Exhibit Hours:

• Sundays - Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
• Saturdays & Sundays: 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Live Entertainment at the Sugar Sand Festival

There will be live musical performances during the afternoons on Friday - Saturday at the White Claw Daytime Stage. Beach Blanket Bingo takes place in the evening April 4 and April 11. On Sunday April 14 Salsa & Bachata begins with dance lessons at 5, professional dance performances, a dance party from 6 :00 - 9:00 and finishes with fireworks at 9:00.

Frenchy's Free Beach Concerts will be held on Friday - Sunday in the evening. Featured buskers, think jugglers, magicians and acrobats, will also be entertaining..

On April 8, there will be an Eclipse Party with the first 2,500 visitors in attendance receiving specially designed collectible eclipse glasses, commemorating the 2024 solar eclipse!

Food & Drink

The Baystar VIP Lounge serves food and beverages after 5 Fridays - Sundays (closed on Easter Sunday, March 31).

The Tropico / Hyatt Sand Bar will be open Thursdays - Sundays for the "Happiest of Hours" with a variety of beverages available. 

Parking

The Pier 60 lot ($3/hr.) located just southwest of the roundabout, beach side is the closest to the event. There is some street parking north and south of the roundabout, two public parking garages located near the venue on Coronado (Hyatt Regency and Surf Style) and one public parking garage located on north beach in the Pelican Walk Plaza.
