Beach by Beach: What to Expect on Your Visit

Beach Safety Recommendations

As we return to our favorite sandy shores for fun in the sun, please remember that if we all do our part to be courteous and stay safe, we can continue to enjoy America's Best Beaches. Please be aware that some of our beach communities have individual circumstances - so we have included details that beachgoers might need to know about restrictions or limited amenities.

It's recommended that beach visitors adhere to CDC physical distancing guidelines:

  • Stay six feet apart from others who aren't in your family or group.
  • Avoid gathering in groups larger than 10 people.
  • Wear a mask at times when you'll be in face-to-face interactions (such as at the concession stand) or where you can’t follow physical distancing guidelines.

Public beach restrooms will have enhanced cleaning and disinfection measures in place, but it's wise to bring hand sanitizer to the beach, as well.

Parking

All public parking lots will be open. Pinellas County is encouraging people to use the ParkMobile App to pay for parking to promote touchless payment options. You can download the app in Apple’s App Store or on Google Play.

How to use the Park Mobile App:

  • Enter the zone number posted on signs around the parking meter in the ParkMobile parking app.
  • Select the amount of time you want to park and start your session.
  • You will get alerts when time is about to expire so you can extend your parking session.
