Come see Treasure Island’s beach come to life at the 2025 Sanding Ovations event scheduled November 20-23 and November 29-30, 2025. See what happens when master sculptors use their imaginations and turn piles of sand and buckets of water into “outSANDing” works of art. Treasure Island is the Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida!
In addition to viewing the amazing sand sculptures, enjoy live music, food, a craft market and a children's area featuring sand-sculpting lessons.
This event is free and open to the public.
Sanding Ovations Schedule
- Artists begin creating the sand sculptures on November 10, 2025.
- The event officially kicks off Nov. 20, and is held Nov. 20-23 and 29-30. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
- Don't miss the fireworks on Saturday night, Nov. 22!
- Sculptures may stay up on the beach until January, if weather allows.
Meet the Sculptors
This year’s sandy wonderland will be created through the imaginations of master sculptors such as Sue McGrew, Deborah Barrett-Cutulle, Melineige Beauregard, Benoit Dutherage, Fergus Mulvany, Damon Meri, Abe Waterman and Bruce Phillips. Learn more about each artist.
Things to Know Before You Go
- This is a cashless event, so please bring a credit or debit card.
- Dogs are not permitted on Treasure Island's beaches.
- Beach wheelchairs will be available at the information and merchandise tent. There's no cost but you do need to leave your driver's license while you have the chair. First-come, first-served.
