WWE will be in town in late January for a slate of professional wrestling events held across St. Pete/Clearwater, highlighted by the Royal Rumble on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Tropicana Field in St. Pete. This marks the first time since 1995 that the Royal Rumble will take place in front of fans in Tampa Bay!
The Royal Rumble will provide first-class sports entertainment to those experiencing the action in person as well as those watching as part of a worldwide television audience. The Royal Rumble will be headlined by the 30-man and 30-woman Royal Rumble matches, with the winners moving on to a world championship match at WrestleMania 40.
Tropicana Field is in the vibrant EDGE District in downtown St. Pete, a lively area bursting with breweries, stunning murals, great restaurants, and a variety of shopping options. Landmarks such as Ferg’s, Green Bench Brewing, and Bodega contribute to the neighborhood's unique character. The EDGE District is nestled along Central Avenue, St. Pete's Coolest Street, that connects downtown St. Pete from the scenic St. Pete Pier all the way to the Grand Central District.
While Central Avenue is quite walkable, visitors can also explore the area by using bike or scooter shares, or hopping on the Central Avenue Trolley. For a broader exploration of St. Pete, the SunRunner provides a 10-mile, 30-stop route throughout the city, bringing riders to beautiful St. Pete Beach.
