Dunedin Mardi Gras returns with a Fat Tuesday celebration like never before!

This isn’t just any event, it’s the ultimate Mardi Gras celebration, Florida-style. Don’t miss this chance to experience Mardi Gras magic in Dunedin!

Date: February 17, 2026

Location: Downtown Dunedin

Time: Event held 5-10 p.m.; the parade starts at 7 p.m.

Mardi Gras comes to Florida with a Gulf Coast twist when the Dunedin Mardi Gras Festival & Parade returns for a full-on Fat Tuesday blowout. On February 17, 2026 from 5-10 p.m., Downtown Dunedin transforms into a swirl of color, music and revelry that feels equal parts New Orleans and laid-back Florida beach town.

Take in the spectacle amid craft breweries, eclectic shops and buzzing restaurant patios. It’s no surprise Dunedin was named one of Southern Living’s Best Beach Towns: It knows how to throw a party, and Mardi Gras is its most spirited one yet.

The evening builds toward the main event: an epic parade kicking off at 7 p.m., rolling along Douglas Avenue from Beltrees Street to Skinner Boulevard. Expect over-the-top floats, dazzling costumes and the joyful chaos of shimmering beads and trinkets flying through the air. Live bands keep the energy high before and after the parade, while food trucks and local vendors dish out Mardi Gras-inspired eats and specialty drinks to keep the good times rolling.
