Museum of American Arts & Crafts Movement
Opened in September 2021, the Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement adds to St. Petersburg's flourishing art scene. Located in the beautiful downtown waterfront arts district, MAACM is the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to the historic American Arts and Crafts movement. Founded by local philanthropist and collector Rudy Ciccarello, MAACM features stunning architecture and incredible works of art. The Arts & Craft Movement spread across America from approximately 1890-1930, and included furniture, pottery, tiles, lighting, textiles, photography, fine arts, woodblocks, metalwork and more. On view are works by Gustav Stickley, Charles Rohlfs, Frank Lloyd Wright, the Roycrofters, William Grueby, Newcomb Pottery, Margaret Patterson, Greene and Greene, Louis Sullivan, and many other gifted craftsmen and women. A Children's Gallery with child sized furniture, illlustrations and other decorative objects will charm young and old.
