New Places to Play Pickleball in St. Pete-Clearwater!
The beautiful St. Pete Pier will be home to several temporary pickleball courts from January 17 - March 16th, 2025. Find the courts near the pier's splash pad. Players of all levels are welcome, and volunteers will be on hand to help newbies learn the game. You can rent a paddle and balls for $5 (it's an additional $5 to play all day). "Pickleball on the Pier" hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; plus Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Opening on January 11, 2025 will be Dink House, with four state-of-the-art indoor courts on Ulmerton Road in Largo. The facility is owned and managed by Brandon Anandan, a former pro tennis player.
More exciting news for pickleball fans: An expansive 45,000 square foot sports and entertainment complex owned and managed by St. Pete Athletic is expected to open in early 2025 at The Factory in St. Pete's Warehouse District. Play will be open to the public on 14 indoor pickleball courts (lessons and rental equipment will be available). The facility will also offer table tennis, padel tennis (a Mexican paddle sport), a restaurant, coffee bar and cocktail bar.
