Join us at the Dalí Museum for a special performance by pianist Raquel Garzás, presented in collaboration with the Spanish Young Music Talents (SYMT), a flagship music program of the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. This evocative recital weaves together a richly varied program, exploring avant-garde musical symbolism alongside vivid, virtuosic storytelling.

Program:

Isaac Albéniz: Iberia (Book II) – Rondeña, Almería, Triana
Erik Satie: Trois valses distinguées du précieux dégoûté
Tomás Borrás: Confluències, Op. 75
George Antheil: The Ben Hecht Valses
Enrique Granados: El Pelele

On the following day, June 5th, audiences are invited to a free special lecture with Raquel, where she will explore the emotional and artistic process behind this repertoire. Delving into the inner worlds of composers such as Albéniz, Satie and Antheil, she will reflect on how these works have shaped her artistic journey and share insights into her preparation for this concert.
