Wide Waters Motel

Don’t waste your time at this place. I booked two months in advance, offered a deposit which was declined by the owner we go advised I just show up on the day. Well that was a lucky break, I turned up. The owner was rude,didn’t remember my call and questioned me like I’d made it all up. He was so rude,I felt so sorry for his wife who appeared brow beaten. The room was dark gloomy and stuck of mildew, I was so grateful he hadn’t taken a deposit as after viewing the room I couldn’t wait to get out of there. The only thing this place has going for it is the location. The host and room leave much to be desired. Don’t waste your time, I swiftly moved on, there are plenty of much better places. Just wish I could mark him a minus star!

Wide Waters Motel is a quaint motel, less than 2 blocks from the Gulf of Mexico and surrounded by places to eat and drink. Gayle's Restaurant is an amazing cash only breakfast spot less than 5 minutes away on foot. The owners of Wide Waters Motel are a husband and wife, who live on the premises. They're always available should you need them, and have dogs that love to be petted. As an older motel, the rooms are quaint and remarkably soundproof. We stayed in a middle room and could not hear anything coming from the occupied rooms on either side. Flat screen TV in the room, with basic cable. Decent size bathroom with walk-in shower. Perhaps most important for a Florida summer, air conditioning that will freeze the room if that's what you're ​looking for.

Very nice owners who do a great job hosting guests. Rooms are very clean and theres always fresh towels. Love this place and will return very soon

STAY AWAY!!! BED BUGS AND CRAZY OWNERS!!! Woke up itching terrible & welts everywhere. Looked at our sheets and there were bugs crawling everywhere. Notified them and she flipped out on us. Should shut down the place. Stay away.
