War Veterans Memorial Park is truly one of the hidden gems in our area. The sunsets here are absolutely breathtaking — vibrant colors reflecting across the water, peaceful breezes, and the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day. Whether you’re walking the trails, fishing from the pier, launching a kayak, or simply sitting on a bench soaking it all in, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. It’s well maintained, spacious, and offers some of the most beautiful evening views around. A perfect place to pause, reflect, and appreciate Florida living at its finest.

Lovely quiet park with clean restrooms, playground and kayak launch. There is an area that can be used to take a dip also.

Love this place. I could go here (almost do) every single day. It's a nice drive into the park, windy roads. First you will see a parking lot on the left where there is a memorial you can go look at. It has a giant sun dial! If you keep going you will see a place to launch kayaks where I do frequently. Clean bathrooms, enough space so you're not on top of everyone. Nice little beach you can go to also.

My "Go to" spot when I want to put kayak in the water either to fish or paddle (fishing sucks most of the time). It's easy to get in and out and there's an actual launch there so you can get away from careless boat drivers. There's even freshwater available to rinse kayak off, just bring your own hose.

Lots of acreage & greenery!! More than one kayak/canoe launch. Tons of picnic tables & shelters. You can reserve one as well, which is nice for outdoor gatherings. I had a difficult time finding the trail head either no actual signage, but it was a nice little walk once I did find it. Has restrooms & lots of parking. Great spot!
