We had a delicious dinner here Sunday evening after spending a lovely afternoon at Lassing Park! (Take note - their kitchen closes at 7:30pm on Sundays!) The mahi tacos were DELISH, and my husband recommends the Cuban sandwich! I also love that they have a “doggie menu” consisting of beef or chicken and rice! So cute!! The ambiance is relaxed and peaceful near the water. The service was excellent, and the other patrons were nice and fun! 10/10 would recommend!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for The Big Catch – St. Pete If you're traveling through St. Pete with Harvest Hosts, The Big Catch is an absolute must-stop. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was next level. The nicest people you’ll meet anywhere — genuinely welcoming, accommodating, and grateful you’re there. We even had the opportunity to meet the owner, which made the experience even more personal. That kind of hands-on presence says everything about the pride they take in their business. The food? Outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you’re dining near the water. Everything was prepared perfectly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and authentic — no pretense, just great seafood and great people. For Harvest Hosts travelers, this is a perfect location. Easy access, comfortable setup, and a dining experience that makes you want to extend your stay. Highly recommend. We will absolutely be back.

Waterfront hidden gem of St. Pete. Feels like a dive bar and a Tiki bar made a restaurant. The food was outstanding. Our crab cake appetizer was perfectly balanced in flavor and generous in proportion. My fish and grits plate absolutely stole the show, catching the eyes of nearby patrons and immediately inquiring for future orders! We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. Big thank you to Travis our bartender for taking great care of us as first time customers! The only side note and definitely not a complaint: I almost passed over the fish and grits because the menu description seemed underwhelming. I was pleasantly surprised when the plate was set before me!

Yesterday my friends and I went for a late lunch and drinks. As usual one of my friends and I brought our dogs, I have an 8 lb Chihuahua and she has a very sweet Corgi. My other friend went in ahead of us to find a table. She chose a table by the water, our usual. I have to tell you my friend was recently in an unfortunate accident , severely spraining her ankle, currently wearing a boot to protect that ankle. The table was a picnic style with low seating for her to elevate her foot comfortable. The two of us approached the table with our dogs when suddenly a Pitbull at the next table lunged at my friend's Corgi! I scooped up my Chihuahua and went to sit at the other side of the table, thinking things would calm down once the Pitbull relaxed and we were settled, that didn't happen. The much younger owner of the PB started yelling at my elderly friend ( she will kill me for calling her elderly, let's just say she was older than he was), he was rude and way out of line IMO. He yelled, " get your dog away", seriously ? You have a dangerously aggressive dog and you are telling my friend to get HER dog away???? The bar tender and manager came rushing over to us and accused US of being the violators! Clearly, aggressive Pitbulls have NO PLACE in a family, dog friendly establishment. The three of us and the two dogs moved to the other side of the restaurant where we were greeted by a very kind and attentive server. The higher tables were uncomfortable for my friend with the injured ankle, but we made the best of it. The dogs were brought water bowls, we ordered our drinks and took a deep breath. The food was outstanding, the drinks delicious and the service impeccable. I only wish we had been met with a little more courtesy by the man with the PB and the manager and bartender. In general, if you have an aggressive dog, leave it at home, or muzzle it. Did I mention the dog had a " service dog" vest on? Clearly that wasn't a Service Dog!

Food was good. Travis was our bartender and he was cool. Great spot for a drink and some food on the water. Very laid back. This is a marina, so set your expectations somewhere between “beach bar” and “guy who just pulled in on a fishing boat.” If that’s your vibe, you’ll love it. Super affordable.
