Tarpon Springs Castle Winery

My husband came across a Groupon for a wine tasting at the Tarpon Springs Castle Winery and we were looking for something to do for part of the day. He called to see if we could go today and were told yes. We ended up being the only people for the time slot we chose so we had our own private tasting. The owner was quite the character and a really sweet man. You could tell he enjoys sharing the process of wine making as he’s telling you about it. We even learned a few things today that we had not known about previously. We were able to sample 4 wines and he gives a very generous pour! The Groupon also included a full glass of wine of our choice after the tasting, the glasses we used we got to keep, and a free bottle. We only paid $32 (plus sales tax) for both of us! We did end up buying additional bottles to bring home but not unusual for us to do. Now if you arrive here thinking that this is going to be even a semi fancy wine tasting you will be disappointed. But if you go in with an open mind you’ll be happy you went. We certainly enjoyed ourselves!

Had a great experience at Tarpon Springs Castle Winery! I went with my husband, co worker and their spouse, and we enjoyed ourselves. Not at all what I was expecting, not your typical wine tasting. The owners are absolutely adorable, they have been doing this a long time. You can tell they love what they do and are extremely knowledgeable about wine and art. I purchased a Groupon and called to make a reservation for the next day, and didn’t have any issues. We started off talking about art and then made our way to try 4-5 wines. My favorite was the PARTY IN A BOTTLE 🎉 we got a free bottle of wine with the group and purchased 1 bottle. After wine tasting we got to enjoy a complementary wine of our choosing and sit by the garden. Had great conversations with the owners and other people that were on the tour with us. I would highly recommend!

My husband and I got a Groupon Deal for Valentines day and we had a really nice time. Thankfully I called ahead and found out that you had to make a reservation. It is a small, hole in the wall, locally owned winery. It was nothing fancy, but we had a blast. The wine was Delicious, and there was a really nice turn out of people who came. We enjoyed getting to learn about how they make wine and taste their products. I saw a lot of other critical comments on google and I was worried we would not enjoy ourselves but I am glad we went and I would go again. If you are expecting something bougie you may be disappointed but the wine was fantastic and for a mom and dad looking for a date night it was perfect!

My friend and I drove just over an hour to come to this place one Sunday afternoon after finding a great GroupOn. It was 100% worth it! Joe, one of the owners, was awesome! He explained how their wines are made and why the history of the wines (and the laws that affect them) are so important— which helps explain why their wines are so unique! The “party in a bottle” wine was the best and I bought an extra bottle. This is also a veteran-owned business so please support!

My husband and I use the Groupon deal and got to have an amazing time trying four different wines and sampling cheeses and chocolates. The place is owned by a beautiful couple husband and wife who both put on an amazing display of art and culture as well as European style wines that don’t give you a headache. They’re opening soon attached to it. A sub and sandwich shop called flyaway Joe’s. That’s gonna have subs sandwiches, cotton candy and popcorn for the kids. It’s a lovely place to go to have a nice glass of wine and be in Good spirit.
