Tampa Speed Boat Adventures

Do you think you have done everything well? How about adding the ability to drive a speed boat to your list? Well, that's exactly what I did. This was just flipping amazing. The location is a little off the beaten path. However, it has a beautiful beach right next to it, so if you show up early enough or stay after, there is basically a "local" beach, and it's beautiful. You want to show up a little early for the safety briefing and to take some great pics. You can bring whatever except alcohol or weapons so if you want to bring some water you can. I had no idea, so I didn't. Also, I would recommend great pockets or a fanny pack because you can't set your phone on the seat as it will slide into the back of the boat and be gone. I put mine in my shorts pocket between pics and videos. This is so cool. You are taught by a wonderful captain who has 30+ years of experience in the industry. "Bring some cash to tip him" He will lead you on a jet ski into the open water waters of Tampa Bay. You will get almost 45 minutes of high-speed boating excitement. Make sure to watch for any waves and follow all the tips and rules you learn in the beginning, and you will have a time of your life. You will go past places you can't see on land and experience going under bridges while being able to say, "I know how to drive a boat now." That's a bucket list if you ask me. I would highly recommend this thrilling adventure next time you are in Tampa. It really is like a Segway tour with speedboats!!! I went when it was like 65 degrees out, and with the sun, it was perfect. I recommend sunscreen and maybe a secure hot in the summertime. You must try this, though!! DO IT!!! This was an Amazing experience! Captain Scott is a blast and makes the whole trip memorable! We had zero boating experience and had no problem from start to finish. Captain Scott made it so much more than a speed boat drive! He’s a hoot and you can tell he loves what he does. We can’t wait to do this tour again!

We had a great time! The water and weather was perfect, and they are right, you don't really get wet on this. My only suggestion would be that it would be nice if the guide talked a bit more on the speaker on when we should be speeding up or slowing down, we were in idle speed for awhile where no one seemed to know if we should/allowed to start going faster and can't really see the instructors hand signals from so far away. Also wasn't super sure if I was harming the boats in anyway from switching from speeding up/slowing down/idle too much or too quickly. The parts where we were in open water and could go fast were the best! We will be doing more activities like this in the future for sure 💖

What an amazing experience!! Scott was a phenomenal tour guide, he was funny, knowledgeable and patient. I now have a greater love for speed boats and will be back with the family.

My wife and I decided to do something a little different this year to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July. We heard about a boat rental in Pass A Grille that had a double deck pontoon boat and thought it might be fun to watch the fireworks in Boca Ceiga Bay from the top deck…. With weather in July I knew it was going to be a situation where it would be a last minute call so I was a little worried. But what a treat it was, Captain Dustin was fantastic! He was just about as excited as we were to enjoy the fireworks from the bay. He took us to a perfect spot right in the bay where we could see all the firework displays in St Pete; DTSP, Gulfport, and could even see some further down the beach. It was just such a great experience and the fact that Captain Dustin knew exactly where we could see all angles of the skyline was just so impressive. Thanks for the great memories Captain Dustin! Looking forward to next yr!
