Tampa International Airport (TPA)

Tampa International Airport is lovely—I had a wonderful experience all around. This airport is modern and efficient, lots of amenities and great spots to eat. I appreciate the layout of this airport, it’s nicely spaced out which makes it feel less crowded. The main terminal is a great spot to hang out and grab a bite to eat before heading to your airside terminal. There’s a nice metro system that takes you around the airport and to the parking lots. The only negative is one of the metros being out of service, but other than that I am pleased with TPA and would be delighted to fly here again.

I recently flew through Tampa International Airport and had a smooth experience from check-in to boarding. The airport was easy to navigate, everything felt clean and organized, and I didn't have trouble finding my gate. It made traveling a lot less stressful than I expected.

TPA is, without question, my favorite airport. I’ve been flying since I was a baby, and after decades of traveling, Tampa International is still the gold standard in my opinion. I’ve flown out of TPA countless times. From quick trips between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale to leaving for my honeymoon. I’ve picked up family, dropped off friends, and honestly, if someone needs a ride to the airport, I’m probably volunteering. I genuinely enjoy being there. Everything feels so well thought out. The layout is easy to navigate, security has consistently been smooth and efficient for me, and the airport is always clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The restaurants are great, and I love the overall aesthetic. And I have to mention Phoebe! She has become one of my favorite airport traditions. I look forward to seeing her every time, and the airport’s Facebook posts always make me smile. Travel can be stressful, but TPA somehow makes it enjoyable. After all these years and all these trips, I’ve never had a bad experience. Tampa International has set the standard for what I think an airport should be, and it’s one of the few places I genuinely look forward to visiting. Top-tier airport with an efficient TSA and monorail system. Great shops and food options as well. Minimal traffic and you can rent a car, or get to the downtown cruise port in no time! Overall a great hassle-free airport!

Great mid sized airport!!! Security was so easy to get through probably spent more time walking through security and to the tram than actually waiting in line. For those flying Delta the sky club is small but very nice.
