SureStay by Best Western St. Pete Clearwater Airport

Staff was helpful and cordial. Room and bathroom were clean. Good breakfast. Only please take note, there is no elevator to the second floor. Not a problem for us but if you need it make sure to let them know when you make the reservation. Other than that, the area was quiet, no noise from the nearby highway. Its close to the airport so you will hear the airplanes lol. As a woman at first glance I was worried but I spend a week there and felt safe, but always carry your door locks ladies.

I stay at Best Western's quite a bit, and I had not been to this location before, but because of spring break week this was one of the few hotels in the area available that didn't break the bank. Whoever your photographer is for your website pictures is amazing at what they could make a complete dump look like. Sorry but it was uncomfortable with shifty looking people hanging around I didn't know if they were homeless or if they were people staying there. The rooms needed to be updated 20 years ago for sure. And the checking staff were really really nice but then 2 days into our stay when we noticed the shower curtain did not have a liner and it was impossible to keep water from going on the floor , we had to use towels on the floor. My wife called the desk and asked for more towels and they said they were not going to bring us any that we would need to bring our other towels down and exchange them, I guess like maybe they thought we would steal their towels? So we opted to not carry the dripping towels down to the front and we just dried off with wet towels the next morning. For anyone who would stay at a Best Western on a regular basis around the country , you kind of know what to expect , which is a decent hotel at an affordable price. This one was simply uncomfortable.

When a winter storm made us change our plans, we needed to stay two nights near Tampa. I found this hotel at a discounted rate, not too far from the airport. It just took 15 minutes to drive there. It's a plain-jane hotel. Our room didn't have shampoo or soap for the shower. But it was clean, had the appliances we expected, and gave us a good night's sleep. It is within hearing of the Clearwater International Airport, but the roar of the jets was muted by the heavy walls. Didn't disturb us at all. The breakfast was better than expected and had protein as well as usual breads. The make-your-own waffle was very popular and smelled terrific. The desk agents were pleasant, professional, and helpful. When we couldn't get our TV to work, one woman came out to diagnose the problem, and stayed to chat with us while all the channels downloaded. We were very grateful for this clean place to stay at modest prices.

The service was outstanding—staff were consistently helpful and attentive. The front desk team stood out for their knowledge and professionalism, making the experience smooth and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was fresh and well-prepared, and the overall cleanliness of the space reflected the staff’s dedication. Everyone was friendly, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere throughout the stay.

After staying at many other quality Best Western hotels this one was definitely a disappointment. The facility is in need of a serious makeover as the internet pictures do not match the facility. The floor to our room was filthy, the door to our room had a huge gap allowing bugs and lizards to enter at will, there was black mold on the ceiling above the beds. The box springs where stained so many colors I am assuming from water leaks?? I would have packed up and left but we were only planning to shower get a quick nap before heading out for a very early flight. They did provide a gift bad with snacks and water for being a member, and the towels were folded into cute rose patterns the first shift desk attendant was super sweet, but the second shift attendant hates her job and was going off about everything when we went to ask for another towel. We left way before breakfast was served. If you are looking for a quality hotel, this one is not for you!
