Strachan's Homemade Ice Cream and Desserts

We’ve been coming here each year for spring training baseball and always get ice cream from Strachan’s - it really is some of the best quality you’ll find anywhere. They often have fun flavors and other goodies other than ice cream to enjoy. This time I got one called Blue Jay that had Cracker Jack popcorn in it - that was a new one for me, as well as something with chocolate and caramel in vanilla that I forget the name but was really good. All in a waffle cone. Definitely recommend both this location and their ice cream! (Forewarning it can get really busy!)

Pretty busy Friday night waited in line but it moved fast. Plenty of places to hang around and eat ice cream. Fun energy. Busy and buzzing. I tried the salted caramel, a hand spun milkshake of chocolate chocolate chunk, a strawberry scoop on a waffle cone, a scoop of chocolate, and another coffee flavored scoop. They were each one delicious and I. The top five qualities of ice creams I’ve ever tried. Solid hand made ice cream. Ten bucks for a good sized milkshake not unreasonable. There was live music across the street and a lady with a big cockatoo on her arm hanging out. Fun place.

Always on the hunt for ice cream. This is a pretty good spot at a nice location in Dunedin. The servers were quite nice, and there was a line-up with the Jays letting out, but it moved quite quickly. The ice cream is good, I’ve had better, but I would definitely go back. Nice flavour selection and price point isn’t bad.

None of that overly rich stuff here—just pure, nostalgic, velvety goodness with real pistachio flavor that hit just right. It was the kind of scoop that made me close my eyes and savor every bite. Strahan’s doesn’t just serve ice cream—they serve memories. And after a beachy day along the coast, it felt like the cherry on top of a perfect Florida afternoon. 10/10 recommend.
