St. Petersburg/Madeira Beach Resort KOA

Had a wonderful time at this KOA campground. I took my Son and Sister. The staff was great, very friendly. We enjoyed the amenities, loved the pool & hot tub!!!! We were also able to bring our 2 pets which was very convenient. There was a wasp nest under the porch swing (rustic cabin) we advised the staff who promptly came and took care of the issue. We absolutely love KOA and will definitely be back!!!

My hubby and I plus our Giant Schnauzer stayed there with our Travel Trailer on a nice full hook up spot, equipped with a small old bby pit, a nice big round table with nice chairs. Our daughter, her husband and their 3 sons plus Mini Schnauzer stayed in a 2 room cabin with 2 bunk beds and a full sized bed and a mini fridge with small freezer space, and a tv; patio with a hanging swing seat but no kitchen, no bathroom and no table with chairs or anything to sit on for a meal or game. We were near together, also near to one of their wonderful equipped and clean bath houses. The dog park is tiny and has no water source for the dogs. The shop is nice but pricey and gym is small but ok. The pool is heated and that’s awful when it’s 100F degrees outside,

This is our 2nd year booking cabins here for our youth group, and we've been taken care of so well both years. Thank you to all the staff here--especially Sherry. She's made our trips so easy, refills whatever we need, and makes sure the kids have a great time. Thank you guys!

This rv resort KOA is located in an unexpected off the strip area which is mostly rv, marine and auto repair & parts shops lining each side of the side street leading to the entrance of the KOA. But the location is very private (you would not expect it to be there) ., & with a beautiful bayou water view on 2 sides. It’s very quiet. Very nice landscaping and plantings show pride of ownership.&This location is excellent because it’s literally within a 10 minute drive to anything you would need like Wawa, gas, cvs, publix, restaurants, karaoke bars! Shopping, etc. and 10 minutes to madeira beach! It’s a less commercial area than Clearwater beach so less crowded and with free parking. This KOA is very well kept, very clean, and has a nice pool area, the nicest dog park I’ve ever seen with interesting tropical plantings, 24 hr laundry room and clean bathrooms. Staff is friendly & helpful and there is a nice shop for gifts and various items. The rv spot we got was pull through and comfortable for our 28 ft airstream trailer& truck & with a picnic table. Full hookups all Functioned perfectly with no power outages and good water pressure. There are also very cute log cabins available for rent that are very nice inside. (See website!) This location is so nice & convenient! There’s nothing not to like! Would stay here again. Thank you Madeira KOA!

Call them well in advance because it is a 4th of July holiday requesting a spot in the shade for a KOA member and repeat client They said it would be no problem but it would be an additional $25 reservation fee to hold the spot in the shade. I said I don't mind paying the fee as long as I am guaranteed a spot in the shade. Should I have the spot reserved for you no problem see you when you get here. I get here and check in and they take me to a spot right next to the shade. I asked them and they said they would have to go back and check. They went back and checked and said because it's a holiday and I don't get my spot in the shade. I said I realize that that's why I already reserved the spot and paid the extra fee. They said no you don't get the spot in the shade but we will refund the $25 . What a real crappy way to do business!
