What Visitors Love
Being Cuban im one of the biggest critics when it comes to cuban food. I was very glad I found this place in St. Petes Beach one of the best cuban meals I had in awhile and very authentic. From the welcoming workers to the Cool cuban atmosphere with cuban music playing in the background I felt at home. I came to try their award winning The Original Pipo's Pork in mojo or as we call it Lechon Asado and after tasting it I realized why it won so many awards it was one of the best tasting lechon asadosI had in awhile and love how they top it off with fresh crunchy pork grinder WOW , plus rice and cuban black beans and sweet plantains. When i tasted the cuban black beans I knew this place was the real deal made from scratch and fresh just like my mom's beans absolutely on point. My wife had the garlic shrimp which she raved about and I was lucky enough to taste and she was right full of flavor. To end this perfect meal we ordered one flan to share but after tasting it my wife made me order my own cause she didnt want to share it anymore. This flan was top 3 flans I ever had absolutely delicious. If your in the area make sure you go and try this place out you wont regret it. One of the best meals i had in St. Petes Beach.
I had lunch today at Pipo's The Original Cuban Cafe because y'all recommended it. It didn't disappoint! Y'all were correct. It was delicious! I had the picadillo with yellow rice & black beans. Then for a snack later, I had a beef empanada. The juicy stuff in the picadillo is NOT grease (in case someone was wondering), it is flavor! It was great to dip the bread slices in. That sauce is cilantro sauce - so good! Go and check it out for yourself if you haven't been there. Next time I want to try the yucca and platanos (plantains).
Man!!! This is all I can say….traveling from Texas to Florida I was looking for an authentic Cuban restaurant. We ordered three dishes along with their house sangria. Lechon Asado, the pollo à la pipo, pulled pork wrap…we got to choose our sides and so hard to pick from as they all looked delicious. Excellent service…the host and wait staff kept checking on us. Will not be disappointed in the place with fast service and delicious food. Wish we would have found this place on day 1. Very affordable with generous portions!
Good food. Their Guava and cheese pasteles are delicious. Red beans and their tameles are outstanding.
Wonderful Cuban food, their Mojo pork was juicy and tender with so much flavor. Red beans were also delicious. Got a cortadito with my meal that was also phenomenal. The place feels like a story in itself, you know it’s been there for a while and it almost feels like a bit of a dive when it’s not busy. Staff was incredibly nice and the food was ready quickly!
