I hate to not give this place 5 stars because the food was phenomenal and service was great, but atmosphere was just okay. The green seats are really uncomfortable and the long group table in the middle is annoying. I'd get it if it was just a bar but not great for a high end restaurant like the food belongs in. The staff was so friendly and not just at our table. We got the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, chicken pot pie and kids grilled cheese and fruit. All we're amazing!! We'll be back for the food!

Social Roost was flat-out outstanding. Every dish hit, but the Pork Belly Benedict was the star of the table. Rich, tender pork belly with that perfect balance of crisp edges and melt-in-your-mouth bite, topped with beautifully poached eggs and a velvety sauce that pulled the whole thing together. It was indulgent without feeling heavy, and every bite felt like the kind of brunch you talk about afterward. The chicken and waffles were golden, crisp, and seasoned just right. The shrimp and grits were creamy, savory, and deeply comforting. The pancakes were soft, fluffy, and straight-up decadent with the whipped cream and berries. On top of that, everything was plated beautifully and looked just as good as it tasted. Social Roost knows how to do brunch right... flavor, texture, presentation, all of it. This was not just a good meal. This was a “clear the plate and start planning your return” kind of meal. So good... ump! 🤌🏾

I’ve heard about Social Roost for brunch but lunch stole the show for me. I loved my meal and experience here! My waiter was so attentive and accommodating. The restaurant itself has sleek, modern decor with vibrant greens and golds and cool art choices. It’s a viibe. As for the food, I was captivated by the flavors. The samosas were plump and puffy, light and incredibly flaky. The crispiness was so memorable. The ground chicken filling was so good and savory, earthy and spiced but not spicy. They come with two dipping sauces, also delicious, a thin zesty sauce and a chunky, semi-sweet yougurt sauce. The mussels come in a robust, bright, savory, herbaceous sauce. It truly shined! However, five mussels in the dish didn’t open which was disappointing (and made the dish partially inedible) since that was a significant potion of the dish. My waiter did his best to compensate and I appreciate him and his service.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience at Social roostwas really disappointing. Our drinks took about 30 minutes to come out, and one of the glasses was cracked. Since gratuity is automatically included, our server was barely around and hard to find the entire time. When our food finally arrived and no silverware to actually eat it. They had to roll some… Our drinks were empty, our server never came back, and my friend had to go inside to grab utensils while our food sat there getting cold. The food itself tasted good, but the presentation was pretty plain and didn’t match the overall vibe or price point. The atmosphere is great, but the service really missed the mark. Hoping this was just an off night, but it definitely wasn’t a great experience but I would try it again! Drinks are great and the bartender took care of our broken glass he is sweetb

We chose Social Roost for our 9th wedding anniversary after deciding to start a new tradition of trying new places after spending the last 8 having dinner at a different local legend that went downhill. The consistently positive reviews made us really excited to try Social Roost. There were definitely bright spots. The server on duty wished us a happy anniversary, asked how we met, and kindly took several photos for us. We appreciated that thoughtful interaction with Sam. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience didn’t live up to our expectations. The evening started with being handed a wet drink menu from the bartender, which wasn’t a great first impression. He made great martinis for me, though my husband wasn’t a fan of coffee beans in his old fashioned. The dining room was also extremely bright for dinner service. We even asked if the lights could be dimmed and were told they were automatic. Frankly, just turning the harsh track lights off entirely and providing a tiny rechargeable lamp at the tables would be better for dinner. That’s when we realized this is largely only a mid-tier lunch or brunch restaurant than a place for a romantic evening. We were worried about this based on the casual decorations, but gave it a shot anyway: The food was where we were most surprised. The tempura shrimp had a strange, damp texture. Instead of a light, crisp batter that adhered to the shrimp, the coating felt soggy and separated from it. The ricotta toast was good, but it wasn’t what we expected from the description. It leaned much sweeter than anticipated, almost like French toast, with whole strawberries on top. If you’re expecting a savory appetizer, this may not be what you’re looking for. The ceviche was bad. Way too many onions and it tasted like they use canned tuna. My red snapper was another disappointment. The exterior was soft and soggy rather than crisp, so I ended up pulling the fish out and leaving most of the coating behind. The accompanying curry was pleasant enough but lacked the depth and seasoning I expected. The short rib was probably the strongest dish we had and was well prepared but hard to mess up so I don’t even award points for that. Overall, nothing tasted inedible, but very little felt memorable or particularly refined. For a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide, we expected stronger execution, more attention to texture, and flavors that stood out. For special occasions, I’d also love to see a little more hospitality. While one of the servers wished us a happy anniversary and took photos for us, a small celebratory touch like a chocolate, petite dessert, or handwritten “Happy Anniversary” would have made the evening feel much more memorable. When we went to Fortu and Ponte recently for birthdays they both did this and we appreciated the thoughts very much. We spent about $300 and left feeling underwhelmed. We plan to go someplace else next weekend to make it up to ourselves. Based on the reputation, we expected a meal we’d be talking about afterward, and instead we found ourselves wishing we had chosen somewhere else. Even for a slower Wednesday night, when we asked to sit in a dimly lit massive booth meant for 8 head parties and got declined despite our anniversary event and nobody else being in the restaurant, that was also a strange thing to occur. Were they expecting a mafia boss at any moment?
