Skyway Fishing Pier State Park

Been there several times. I take my boys and their friends. It’s over an hour drive for us but they Always have a great time whether they catch something decent or not. Love to catch the greenbacks then use them as bait. There’s a variety of what you may catch in any given day. The bait shop is good. The scenery is always beautiful. Dolphins, cruise ships, the color of the water.

A must-visit for fishing enthusiasts. There's an entrance fee of $8 per vehicle and $4 per adult, but it's well worth it. However, the restrooms are old and in need of renovation. If you prefer a clean restroom, there's a rest area outside, open 24 hours a day.

Great location to fish or just sightsee even at night. Beautiful area really makes you appreciate Florida. Would definitely recommend coming during non busy hours during the week seems like fun to fish here.

Best fishing experience I've had. No fishing license required. I live in Illinois and wanted to try salt water fishing. The pier was nice, great views, you park and fish either side beside your vehicle. It offers a concrete sitting area the whole stretch of the pier, with room for chairs if preferred. Open 24/7, shop has bait, tackle, rods, supplies, food, drinks. You can rent a rod for $10 each, with a $20 cash only deposit for each rod. You can use debit for the rental and everything else. The rental includes a rod, rig, bait bucket, towel and knife. It's for 20 hours, so even if you return them, you can come back when you want within 20 hours and not have to rent them again. To get on the pier, it's $4 per adult, $2 for kids, or free for young kids. Also $4 per car, the rate is for 24 hours, and valid on both North and South piers. You can come and go as you please on the same entry fee, so long as you don't lose the pass they give you. I didn't catch anything big, saw a bunch of birds, a shark and caught 2 small fish.
