Shell Key Shuttle

What a wonderful experience. On our way back from Shell Key we happend to see dolphins and what was supposed to be a 10 minute ride back to the Pier turned out to become a dolphin site seeing tour. They didn't have to slow down but they did and they gave my children an unforgettable experience. So grateful. I highly recommend the Shell Key Shuttle ferry. 🐚🐬

Choose this shuttle!! This boat leaves the dock at Pass-a-Grille daily and goes straight to Shell Key on a very short 8 minute boat ride. We’ve done the Hubbard’s tour and it’s long and drawn out, and we just wanted to get to those shells and crystal clear water. The beach here will make you feel like you’re in the Caribbean. It’s even so much clearer than St. Pete Beach or Madeira Beach. Pack a cooler for the day and enjoy!

This was an awesome experience! We found a ton of shells, and not just the regular ones that you can find anywhere, either. The weather can affect the tour times, so just make sure to call if you are heading that direction to make sure all is still a go. The captain and his "crew" were awesome and helpful. There is some damage yet from the storms so the shop is not open yet, and don't pay for parking as she will give you a parking pass. Also, this is first come, first served, you cant buy tickets ahead of time. If you are looking for a fun experience, I would recommend trying this!

Great and convenient shuttle to Shell Key preserve. We tried booking last min with Shell key ferry over on Fort DeSoto side and they were booked up, so called over and they were available for the 10am. 30 per person plus you get parking from them for 5 bucks. Boat can hold about 49 passengers and on this weekday was first come first serve. Captain Joe was knowledgeable and the ride took about ten min. Def not the best shelling on island from shore, but great lil adventure for the family. Pick up times are 1215 & 215.

Shell Key Shuttle was a great experience. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived for the 10am shuttle. The boat was full so we had to wait for them to come back and get us. The nice gentleman who we paid gave us a little discount for having to wait. They gave us shell bags. Allowed us to use beach umbrellas and snorkels. All included in the reasonable cost. The captain of the boat was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. I like that we could leave at our chosen time. Great experience. Worth the very reasonable price. I highly recommend. 🐚
