Scottish Traveler RV Park

Excellent place to stay. Very friendly staff. We spent many a night here and explored the area and beaches. A+

We were overall satisfied with our stay here. Our visit was for a short 2 night weekend. The RV park is close to restaurants and businesses. It was easy to get in and out of the area. The staff was amazing! Two things we didn't care for: small sites and lack of shade for the lot we got assigned, it was very hot, but there are sites with plenty of shade. Keep in mind this is mostly a permanent residential park, but being a visitor was a pleasant experience. We would stay again.

We’ve stayed at this campground a few times and really wanted to like it. The location is convenient, with easy access to fun local attractions and great mom-and-pop eateries nearby. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful. That said, this park is in need of some serious TLC and better management. The laundry room lacks hot water, and several washers and dryers are frequently out of service. The pool is advertised as heated during winter, but it has not been. Water outages happen multiple times a year, and electrical service can be unreliable at some sites. We also noticed several sites appear to be unpermitted setups. Maintenance is inconsistent at best. Sites are not cleaned before new arrivals, and there’s a noticeable lack of pride in the property’s upkeep. We personally invested significant time and money (including pouring a sidewalk, adding a patio, rocks, and astroturf) to improve our site, along with donating quality outdoor shower heads, but received no acknowledgment. Rules are posted but applied inconsistently, and communication from management could be much better. The park has declined noticeably since it was Lee’s Travel Park. Under the current ownership (Bazan family/Scottish Traveler Resort LLC :Hugh Reid Jr) it feels like basic amenities along upkeep have taken a backseat while rates remain high. We ultimately decided to leave due to these ongoing issues and lack of management. If you’re looking for a well-maintained park with reliable facilities and strong management, this one may not be the best fit right now. Potential guests should consider that before booking, especially for long-term renters.

Me and my family had a very pleasant there. We arrived late on a sunday and Melisa, the manager, and her son, Shane, were very kind to us! Honestly, sometimes, it isn't about the place that you stay in, but the people who are there, people that care about you, and that was what I felt it there.

We have been Snowbirds for last 3 years, 2 at Scottish Traveler, the community is more like a family. Missy and the crew do a great service to the park. Friendly and close knitted, we look forward to many Years and winters at Traveler.
