Rum Runners Bar & Grille

It was so nice to have an amazing restaurant at the resort that we were staying! We didn’t have to go far and really enjoyed the ambiance. The service, food and drinks were delicious! We visited multiple times a day and even watched the FIFA game!

As hotel guests, we decided to have dinner at the restaurant. We waited 30 minutes to be seated, only to be informed by our server who was very kind and professional, that she wouldn’t be able to take our order for another 20–30 minutes because the kitchen was overwhelmed, and that our food would then take about another hour to arrive. In total, we were looking at nearly a two-hour wait just to eat. The issue wasn’t the delay itself, it was the complete lack of communication. Had we been told about the kitchen delays before being seated, we could have decided whether to wait or dine elsewhere. Instead, we were left waiting without knowing what to expect. When I suggested to the hostess that guests should be informed about such long delays before being seated, her response was dismissive and unprofessional. She simply said the restaurant was open and the kitchen was busy. There was also another host at the entrance who never mentioned the excessive wait. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn’t even full, with several empty tables available. If the kitchen cannot handle the volume, guests should be informed in advance. The only bright spot was our server, who was honest, courteous, and respectful of our time.

Wow remodeled and so much fun. I really did not want to leave. Our server was awesome. The view of the beach spectacular thst cool breeze off the gulf felt so good. Yes I had a grouper sandwhich yum and my brst friend had the tacos. Between the cool breeze. great service, and invitinv atmoshere I knew it was a place to go back to. Cheers to a great lunch and cheers to the Sirata.

We’ve always loved Rum Runners, so we were excited to return and try the new restaurant. Unfortunately, while the inside looks lovely and the Gulf views are fantastic, the outside now looks like a big grey box on the beach, which feels like a shame in such a beautiful location. Sadly, the food was disappointing and the service was slow. It feels like the building got the upgrade, but the dining experience didn’t. Hopefully it was just an off night, as this used to be one of our favourite places in St. Pete Beach

Our server christine was great and food was good but we couldn’t help but notice the servers uniforms are all black long sleeve, long pants in 100 degree weather I find it very inhumane to force people to work in this environment wearing that. Management needs to fix this and do better.
