5/5 (but read this) Taco salad w/ chicken? 🔥 Seasoned right, not dry, shell light + crispy just how it should be. Chips alone = meh 😐 Chips + taco bowl = 💯 whole diff experience Salsa had some kick 🌶️ but also flavor (not just heat for no reason) Flow is smooth… multiple lines, quick in/out. All outdoor seating but vibe’s solid. Right by Tropicana Field so it stays busy. Now… parking 🚫 Basically nonexistent. If there’s a game or anything going on? Don’t even try it. Can you say Uber anyone? 🚙 Seriously 🤔 Save yourself the frustration of trying to park. Not their fault - just downtown St. Pete doing what it do 🤷🏽‍♂️ Final: 5/5. Def going back… just not driving 😂

OK, let me start this review off by saying I never complain about price. However, extremely disappointed with a $20 burrito. $2.75 for one avocado slice inside the burrito is not it!!!! Also to have the Mercado style topping is an additional $6.25. This is supposed to include onions and cilantro… As you can see on my burrito, I had A couple tiny pieces of cilantro and no onions. I ordered this online, but was waiting for it already once it was done… This is the second time I have gotten a cold bean burrito straight from the kitchen. It’s really disappointing. The flavors are very good… But for $20 on a bean burrito you can’t make mistakes like this.

Searching for a quick bite and found TACOS 🌮... Nestled downtown in heart of St. Petersburg. All food was fresh and was seasoned properly. I had shrimp carbonaro for $11 for 2 Tacos.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always consistent. Good tacos, fat burritos, and solid prices. Can’t really ask for more.

So, we thought we'd give Mercado one more try since we live right here. * Tried to get a Vegan burrito at 10:30am and was told that taking off all the dairy and subbing one thing would result in an upcharge. Wow. *Ended up ordering beans and a side of chips and guac. Beans were more like soup and came with cheese.... hubby noted 'no cheese' and counter attendant super snarky! Amazing. After we told her twice it was a Vegan order!!! Still what I posted earlier: Incredibly inconsistent-- and we used to frequently visit. Every few weeks we've been giving this place another opportunity... still disappointed. Beans are either too runny or too salty, basically no vegan items at breakfast/brunch unless you get a bean burrito (but no one can seems to answer the question of 'is the tortilla vegan'? The table salsa used to be accessible and was great; now they restrict it and put it in tiny cups. How hard is it to make decent frijoles or get the rice finished in the morning? Just so expensive for what they serve now as well- Taco Bell sized bean burrito for $10. No manager available.
