Plumlee Vacation Rentals

Our experience with Plumlee Vacation Rentals was disappointing from start to finish. Our confirmed check-in time was 4:00 p.m., but when we arrived, we discovered the unit had not been cleaned. As a result, our family was unable to access the property until approximately 6:00 p.m., causing us to lose two hours of the first day of our vacation. When we contacted the office at 4:00 p.m., the representative was less than courteous and assured us the unit would be ready within 30 minutes. While the property was eventually cleaned, it was obvious the cleaning had been rushed. What was most frustrating was how the situation was handled afterward. We were initially told the company would provide gift cards for a complimentary meal and were even asked how many people were in our party. After learning there were six of us, that offer changed to two $50 gift cards to a restaurant they selected. For a family of six that had already lost two hours of a vacation rental we paid for, this did not come close to making things right. Mistakes can happen, and we understand that. What separates great property management companies from average ones is how they respond when those mistakes affect their guests. In our case, we felt the response fell well short of what good customer service should be. We would have appreciated a meaningful accommodation, such as a discount on our stay, a credit toward a future rental, or a fully covered meal for our family. Unfortunately, because of both the delayed check-in and the way the issue was handled, we cannot recommend Plumlee Vacation Rentals based on our experience.

5 Stars – Perfect Beach Escape with Plumlee Vacation Rentals! We had a fantastic stay at Sandcastle III, Unit 305 in May 2025, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Plumlee Vacation Rentals made everything easy — the office staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, which really set the tone for a relaxing getaway. The condo was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. We spent our days enjoying the great pool, relaxing on the beach, and taking advantage of the excellent surf fishing just steps from the condo. One of the absolute highlights was the amazing sunsets over the Gulf — truly breathtaking and different every evening. Watching the sun dip below the horizon with the sound of the waves in the background was unforgettable (see photo!). Everything about this trip exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be booking with Plumlee again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful beach vacation.

Plumlee Realty is excellent to rent through..we have at least 3 or 4 times...reliable and if theres an isdue,they'll get it addressed promptly

Very disappointed this year in Plumlee's communication regarding the landscaping construction and the pool in the building we booked. They reassured us there were no issues with the pool prior to final payment due when we called down to inquire regarding possible hurricane damage. Upon arrival we were told the pool was not available, but the neighboring pool could be used. The neighboring pool was down for maintenance for 3 days out of our stay. I addressed my concern with Plumlee after returning from our trip and was told no refunds/credits were being issued because "the month has ended and the owners were paid". My stay was through April 5. Apparently they expected me to call during my stay without giving them a chance to do the right thing. Plumlee did not take ownership of their lack of transparency regarding the state of the building construction/pools and inconvenience to the guests. I've never had issues with Plumlee and a loyal guest (either myself or extended family) for 15+ years. Extremely disappointed in Plumlee for not standing behind their company and acknowledging the inconvenience to their guests.

While Fort Meyers continues to rebuild from the hurricane, my in-laws recommended IRB, and the Plumlee location. We booked right away. Since we had never been , I wasn't sure what to expect. It was everything we needed. Very friendly front desk, lots of recommendations on what to do and where it is located. Our room was slightly outdated but I’m not there for the room, it had everything we needed and lots of space. The beach was beautiful, the pool was nice and warm, balcony was great, kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and the grill was great for dinners. We cannot wait to go back in 2024.
