Come for the sunshine, stay for the bagels.
Following a 10-year stint in NYC, husband and wife Steven and Sara Peterman found the perfect location for their dream store in Historic Uptown. Pete's Bagels opened it's doors in 2019 as a general store and bakery serving bagels made from scratch, and rolled and boiled daily.
Now with locations in Ybor, Tarpon Springs, and our sister concept, Seymour's, Pete's has grown into a community staple. We strive to make our spaces as family-friendly and welcoming as possible, and hope that you will love our mix of fresh pastries, coffee and tea, house-made bagel sandwiches and local goods.

First time at this location and the bagels are just as good as they are in Tampa. The staff is super friendly. I chose the jalapeño & cheddar bagel with the feta & sun-dried tomato cream cheese because I’m a monster. No regrets.

Pete’s Bagels were absolutely delicious! We got a wide variety of items from sandwiches to bagels with many different cream cheese flavors. Everything we had was delicious! The interior is clean and nicely decorated, and we like that you can see them working in the back. My only complaint would be the size of the bagels, we felt that they were a little small for the price and we have had larger bagels for about the same price at other local spots. All that aside, the bagels were delicious and we highly recommended paying a visit to the St. Petersburg location!

Loved the bagels and loved all the fun little manatees and local made goodies surrounding the shop. The line looks crazy when you walk in but they take your order quite quickly. I think there is some confusion because the line to wait for your food is the longer one, and I noticed a lot of visitors come in and needing clarification on where to stand to actually be in the ordering line as so many of us were bunching up waiting for bagels. Not a lot of room to stand around when so many people are demanding these bagels and that's probably a good thing this place is popping and the bagels are amazing. My husband got a breakfast sandwich while I love a good asiago. Some seating outside as well.

Stopped by Pete’s Bagels and completely get the hype now. The bagels were fresh, chewy, and actually had that perfect balance between crispy outside and soft inside that’s weirdly hard to find in Florida. Everything tasted homemade and thoughtful instead of just “trendy brunch spot” food. The vibe is very St. Pete in the best way — relaxed, artsy, a little quirky, and welcoming. Even the manatee mural outside adds personality. Service was friendly and fast, and the menu had enough creative options without being overwhelming. Definitely the kind of place you end up craving again a few days later. Worth the stop whether you’re grabbing a quick breakfast or slowly recovering from a night out downtown.

1st time going and it was so worth it. Hands down the best bagel sandwich I have ever ate. I got The Sunny Pete, and omg was it good. Great combination of ingredients to have a party on your pallet. The pickled onions set it off and it took me to the moon and back. My husband got The Fancy Pete, another flavorful combination of fresh ingredients. Bagels are super good and fresh and the brownie was super moist and had excellent flavor. Prices are a bit higher than others, however their sandwiches are way better than those other places. I also understand they have to make money and we need them to stay open as they are so worth it. Friendly staff and has a cute spot to sit and eat. If you haven't tried this place, what are you waiting for...
