Museum of Motherhood

For twenty years, the Museum of Motherhood (MoM) has been serving the public by informing and inspiring lives through innovative, joyful, and compassionate programming. Originally located in New York, MoM moved to Pinellas County in 2019 and is the only museum nationally that is focused on the art, science, and herstory of women, m/others, and families. At MoM, we use the term 'm/others' to encompass mothers and all other reproductive identities.


MoM’s is located at The Factory in South St. Petersburg, Gallery Row Building #7. We create, produce, and present visual, literary, educational, academic, and performing arts, all with an emphasis on identity, experience, and community. We maintain a growing permanent collection featuring original works by national and international “mother artists,” vintage childbirth tools and maternity artifacts, and educational materials such as fetal development models and pregnancy simulation vests.
