Mullet's Fish Camp

We live in San Antonio, Florida, and were in town over Fourth of July weekend when we randomly spotted Mullets and decided to stop for lunch. We weren’t expecting much, but we were blown away! From the moment we walked in, the entire team made us feel welcome. The staff was friendly and attentive, our server was amazing, the manager was so kind and checked on us personally, and his son was incredibly helpful in the gift shop. Everyone truly made the experience special. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, and somehow this random stop became one of our new favorite places. My husband is already asking when we can go back — we’ll definitely be returning!

Just a brief stop for lunch on our way through. What an appealing place! Lots of fun decoration; totally a beachy / island vibe. Music played was fun; a mix of reggae, yacht rock, west indies etc. Looks like they are set up and ready for live music as well. We had the Mahi Nuggets; I have never had Mahi fried (almost always have had it raw or grilled as a steak) ... these were to die for! Their Dirté sauce served with the nuggets is an original; we were especially pleased to find something creative and exclusive! Also tried some of the wings which had a great dry rub on them. Nice sized wings, perfectly cooked and amazing when dipped in Merman sauce; which I later learned is a local style of the Greater Tampa area. Battered fries were absolutely the perfect format to drag through some malt vinegar. Impressive selection of top shelf liqour, lot's of high quality wines and some great beer choices as well. Totally loved this joint and can't wait to come back; next time we will try plan for a night visit when a band is playing!

Cameron was outstanding and very knowledgeable! The Florida Man Tacos SMACKED per her recommendation for 1st timers…enjoyed them with the Cajun fries! Beer was cold and cocktails were fresh without stale glass smell! Highly recommend!

I loved the cozy interior of the restaurant, and our party of about 15 fit perfectly in the space offered. I tried the hogfish sandwich which I thought was good, however, I really enjoyed the jumbo blackened shrimp with a side of dirte sauce. We ordered smoked wings for an appetizer and we were not disappointed. I didn't try the cucumber peanut noods, but others in my party did and they were pleased with them. The burger looked really massive and tasty as well, but I was too full to try it. Our server Jasper was attentive, accommodating, and friendly. Overall we had a great time. Would definitely recommend. Side note. I live an hour away from this restaurant and I feel it was definitely worth the trip.

Visited this restaurant as we were on our way to Tampa. Cory and his staff were great, the food is super fresh and tasted really good. The service was extraordinary and will be coming back. We enjoyed the fish nuggets, the tacos, the shrimps in butter sauce, the smoke fish spread and much more…
