Misty Isle

When I first walked in I was disappointed. The sleeper sofa was filthy and broken. We had to sleep on the very thin mattress on the floor. It wasn't clean and I was very upset for the money we spent. Management was very understanding and helpful they changed out the furniture and bought us a brand new air mattress. The sleeping accommodations and furniture are the OWNER'S responsibility, not management. Location was great for beach access but nothing else. I was traveling with parents that cannot make long walks like myself. We had to Uber or use trolley everywhere. Misty Isles is okay if ALL you do is beach. Made best with what we had but overall, way over priced we should have been offered some type of refund for furniture and sleeping inconveniences

5 star view, 3 star facility. The location and view cannot be beat. Very close to the beach, and good walking distance to bars and restaurants. However, the facility needs lots of improvements. I figure about $5K to $8K and it would be a nice facility. Indoor shower was literally about 2' x 2', air conditioners need upgraded, and sliding back door needs urgent replacement. I believe the owners have marked this facility as a 'cash cow' for now, but it could be so much better with a little effort. Also, it took an entire month to get my deposit back.

Literally about 10 steps from the sand! Beautiful view from every room (even the shower!) Easy check-in/out. Clean except for the one couch which was stained and uncomfortable to sit on. We reported that the shower hose was leaking; they came immediately and it was replaced the next day. Kitchen appliances could be updated. Otherwise well appointed!

Like so many other guests we were terribly disappointed to find the poor condition of this property. Property pictures and description are carefully crafted to lead you to believe you are beach front. The price was more than hefty enough to support the beach front expectation. We were relegated to the unit furthest from the beach and not even in the beach front building. Decades of deferred maintenance have been addressed in many reviews over a number of years and are met with cheery responses from property management that they will look into it. The couch was so nasty we covered it with our dog’s blanket so we could sit on it. Beyond substandard, it’s shameful. We left two days early and will not be back here or to any TechTravel.com property.

The space in this condo is surprisingly spacious. Just a stone throw away from the beach. Very easy access and convenient with no elevator in which to contend. For a price comparable to a hotel this place is totally worth staying for a nice vacation.
