Malibu Resort Motel

The place is very comfortable, clean and an easy walk across the street to the beach. The rooms have been remodeled very nicely. I like having the larger refrigerator in the room when you stay awhile you fill the small ones to quickly. The bed was more comfortable then my own. The shower has great water pressure (alot of places don't) The staff was so friendly as if they were family.The registration desk every morning had fresh coffee with so many choices of creamers.That was such a great touch! The pool water was warm and clean and beautifuly lit up at night. The chairs outside the room doors were nice to relax outside of your room and you get to meet and talk with your neighbors. I will definitely look to stay at the Malibu Beach Resort if a I get to that area again. Thanks, Vic Rodrigues

I'm honestly not sure why this is listed as a 2 star hotel on Google. My hubs and I stayed here 1 night for a local wedding. We only live an hour away, but didn't want to have to drive home after the festivities, and this was in our budget. I immediately fell in love with this place! The whole esthetic is so charming. The rooms are very clean and spacious, just not "shiny and new". The pool is perfect! There is a pizza restaurant and bar on site and they offer room service. We decided to dine in, and I'm happy we did. The staff at both the hotel and the restaurant was super friendly. They have happy hour specials and very affordable food. The pizza was ahhh-mazing!!! They are family friendly, pet friendly, and also perfect for a weekend getaway. Even though we live close, we will definitely be back for a longer stay!!!

It was pleasant stay. Everyone was very friendly. This resort had by far the softest towels I’ve ever seen for a hotel. They even have pool and bewch towels in your room for you to use. The water pressure was fantastic, and I loved they had handheld shower heads. They had a larger refrigerator/freezer which was awesome!!! The pool was very clean and they had all sorts of options to relax by the pool. This hotel is not very wheelchair friendly, however the staff did everything in their power to accommodate my son during our stay. The location is perfect. It’s right across the street from the beach, there’s lots of things to do within walking distance. It’s small dog friendly!!!

This is an older establishment but it is kept clean and VERY well maintained! I personally have been here four times over the past 3 years and EVERY visit I can visibly see new upgrades and improvements have been made. You can tell how much the owners and managers care by the way they run their property. The staff is down to earth and super friendly. Debbie is amazing and took the BEST care of my family while we were there! She made several accommodations from parking for an extra car (she was able to because they were not at full capacity at the time) to adding an extra unplanned day for my mom and by adding another room for my son at a reasonable price. If you are looking for a laid back motel and are not worried about all of the fancy, sometimes unnecessary bells and whistles I promise you will not be disappointed! *I didn't give 5 stars due to not having the best parking (Many guests have to park in the grass and it's unlevel. Which caused a little damage to the front end of my car last year when we pulled in.) Plus the bathrooms are due for an upgrade, however they are clean. I'm hoping to see these improvements next time because I plan to visit again with my family next Summer!

I LOVE this mom and pop motel!! SO clean and SO friendly!! Convenient to the beach and everything- shops restaurants breakfast places!! The room is perfect!!! We will be back for sure and recommend it to everybody!! We stayed here for 2 nights for my mom’s 83rd birthday. So quiet and peaceful and the pool!!! It’s the best!! (Local here from Tarpon Springs FL)
