Largo Central Railroad
The Largo Central Railroad has approximately 1.2 miles of main line track with numerous passing sidings running through beautifully landscaped Largo Central Park. Train rides are available to the public on the first full weekend of each month. The railroad, founded in 1991, was built and is now maintained through the work and dedication of the LCRR club members and through generous donations from the people of Largo.
What Visitors Love
This is such a great opportunity for children young and old to ride the rails. There were five different trains on that day and i was told they were electric, gas and steam,awesome!
Largo Central Park is by far my favorite park. Whether u visit with kids, your doggo, or during an event, this park is an oasis of tranquility & happiness for young and old alike. Playground equipment always in tip top condition, clean restrooms, grounds are kept immaculate, ample parking, Largo Central Park is truly my favorite park in Pinellas Co.
Greatest little train rides around super fun for the whole family completely ran by volunteers who actually want to be there and make sure the experience run smoothly for everyone fun for all ages it's funded by donations so if you don't have a lot of money that's fine come out and have a good time anyway
Even though we may not have restrooms or a diner on board the railroad is fun for all ages volunteers are very fun to be around and its fun seeing the smiles on everyone's faces
Fun and amazing to volunteer and ride. They treat kids amazingly and are always kind They are a volunteer organization and have nothing to do matinence of the park and the playgrounds.
