My friend and I had a great experience with Kayak Nature Adventures. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and even told us about a secluded beach rarely visited. The kayaks were in excellent shape. He also took a picture of us — the only one we both were in. We found the price reasonable. I will definitely rent from them again!
I'm from Houston and was visiting my father, who lives in Tampa. We were looking for something cool to do. Kurt, the owner of Kayak Nature Adventures, took my dad and I on a private, guided, kayak tour. We paddled for maybe 15-30 minutes (I forget!) and as soon as we were ready to take a break he has us stop on a tiny beach island and chill out. There were egrets and pelicans and probably 20-30 other types of birds. But the next part was my favorite. We got the see the mangrove swamps up close. I mean it was untouched nature to the max. Also on the way back in we saw a (giant, harmless) manatee SUPER close to us. And Kurt is, without a doubt, the 2nd funniest person I've ever met. Not only would I do it again, I've become friends with Kurt and can't wait. He also picks up a ton of trash from the water during his professional, working day; which is a deed that hits close to my heart. Thanks Kurt for a memory that will last forever
This is a great place to kayak as a beginner or experienced. The launch is super easy and Kurt gives you everything you need. You can paddle around the shallow bayou through the mangrove tunnels or adventure out into the Bay where dolphins are common. One mile paddle down to Gulfport beach and stop for lunch! It’s a great experience and reasonably priced.
Very happy with my experience kayaking. It was a quick walk to where I was staying and setting up a time was extremely easy. It was my first time kayaking and it was easy even going to the bay. Exploring was the best part a great way to spend the morning even in July. Oh the price was very reasonable!
Kayak Nature Adventures provides a professional, family oriented from glimpse into parts of Florida that most people don't even know existed. They are always courteous, informative, and very knowledgeable. I have been on many tours with them as well as multiple bayou clean ups. These clean ups have opened up areas within the bayou formally choked off by years of trash buildup are now open for the wildlife to be able to thrive. All I can say is "if you want a truly unique nature adventure" Kayak Nature Adventures is THE place to go.
