Jimmy Guana's

We normally hit a restaurant on the way north from Indian Rocks Beach, but decided this time to head south for another eating choice. A pretty cool spot called Jimmy Guana’s Waterfront Restaurant looked promising down in Indian Shores. A huge patio option with some interesting jazz music, violin included, or inside where there is a mix of tables and booths. We picked inside after being on the beach all day. The decor is very interesting and buccaneer style. The food….when it finally arrived was pretty good. It’s just the service is quite slow. Even when we wanted to leave we had to chase our waitress down to pay the cheque. I swear, we could have dined and dashed (not that we ever would!) and no one would be the wiser until accounting noticed an error in the month end. So, if you are not in any rush check this spot out. I would recommend the patio as well, as long as you are not there primarily for conversation.

We stopped here for lunch after a lovely morning of boating. What a great place. Casual and fun. We ate on the open patio on the water, but they also have a roomy inside dining area. We loved our food. We had a Mahi sandwich, coconut shrimp, Guava bowl, and chicken with crabmeat special. Everything was amazing. Their fries are fabulous. Our waiter was helpful and fun. I had a dark cherry margarita that was so yummy. Highly recommended.

Great place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating right next to the ICW.. Usually live music on the deck everyday. Went on a Monday. Grouper sandwich and Ahi Tuna were good. Walked from Sandy Shores cottages so not sure about parking at the Holiday Inn.

The entertainment was great. The drinks were good. The food...not so much. I had grouper. Not very warm. Tough and tasteless. My wife had Mahi. Taste was poor...even bad.

We went around 6pm on a sunday. No wait, fast friendly service. Their soft pretzel is SO GOOD!!!! My entire family enjoyed their meals and the staff were very friendly!
