Island's End Resort

Used to be my family and I's Florida retreat for many, many years. Haven't been back in many years but the memories remain. cottages are tucked away on a quiet beachy area. The gazebo was always a nice spot to relax in, and of course, excellent fishing from the fishing docks where there were excellent views. Orange juice and danishes in the morning? Nice start to he day Located in close proximity if the beach is another big bonus! Maybe I'll win the lottery one day and have a stay there again :)

This is a great place to enjoy a beautiful beach vacation. They have the perfect place and spot, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is complete and the patio is so cute! They are close to great restaurants, icecream store, it was easy to go get groceries. We will be back for sure, this is our new favorite spot.

We just returned home from our Thanksgiving get-away. We have already booked to return in the spring. We have talked about this place for years, so happy we finally stayed! The staff made us feel SO welcome as soon as we arrived. They are so friendly and accommodating, it didn’t feel at all like we were the “new people”. We were in Villa C, it was immaculate and well appointed in the Old Florida charm we enjoy. Is it for everyone? Probably not, but we count ourselves very lucky to have enjoyed the sunfilled days on the beach, reading under the huge Sea Grape trees and watching the dolphins from the beach front swing. What a treat, glad we finally did it.

I went for a week with myself and my dog. This place exceeded all my expectations. I have a very well behaved, but active dog that is best left off leash. With good behavior, he was allowed to roam free around the resort and they were SO nice to him, spoiling him with treats and toys. 10 STARS FOR DOG FRIENDLY!!! The staff provided me with beach chairs and an umbrella upon request, and the housekeeping was very good. Funny thing is, I didn't need the chair and umbrella because they have chairs near the beach that sit in the shade of a GORGEOUS sea grape tree. Imagine spending a full day on the beach without having to carry anything (chair, cooler, towels, umbrella, toys) because if you need anything you can walk right back to your room. This place is laid back, attentive, personable, and makes me feel like I found a hidden gem.

We stay at Island's End every year. The unit we stay in, I think it is F, has a patio right on the water where we watch dolphins literally every day. The layout of the units makes it so there is a sense of privacy even when other guests are nearby. The management is always available during business hours, but they leave you alone unless you go looking for them. It's a low-key resort, not for the loud music dancing all night crowd. It is in walking distance of many places to eat out or shop. We cannot say enough good things about this place. My only worry is that one day the word will be out that this is the best place on St Pete Beach, and we won't be able to get in! Thankfully you can book the same dates for the following year, which we do every single time. Can't wait for our 2022 visit!
