Island Inn Beach Resort

Got a last minute reservation and showed up very early way before check in time. Virginia at the desk was so accommodating she got the room all cleaned up and got us checked in by 10 am. They do have beach view rooms but we weren't that lucky, but the views on the streets were still nice. Perfect location, cute rooms and right on the beach with lots of restaurants and shopping around with Caddys down the beach. There are umbrella and chair rentals at the beach, all day for $50. So worth it. Found some awesome seashells all over the beach and the Tiki Girl bar was perfect and delicious Rum Runners. Will 1000% be staying here again next trip.

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing. The room was clearly not cleaned or properly prepared: we found cobwebs, dirty dishes, and only two large towels were provided for four people. There was also only one almost completely used roll of toilet paper when we arrived, which made the experience even more unpleasant. Additionally, the tap water was heavily chlorinated, which caused irritation to my young daughter’s eczema-prone skin. I could provide photos to show how her skin was affected if needed. We reported the issues, and although the property offered us another room for the next day, it did not include parking. This would have meant additional costs for us, so it was not a helpful or realistic solution. Beyond the cleanliness problems, the entire accommodation feels very old and run-down. The building and the rooms are outdated and would require a major renovation to meet basic standards. The only positive aspects were the great location and the beautiful panoramic views. Overall, the condition, cleanliness, and service level were far below expectations, and we would not stay here again.

208/209 are run down AIRBNB's. Stains on ceilings presumably from mold. The shower in 209 made everyone sneezey and stuffy with burning eyes. The bed was horribly impossible to move in. The ac is loud. Don't try to turn the sink nozzle in the "kitchen" the whole fixture spins and is ready to break. Woke up one morning with water from the balcony wall to under the couches in 208 from the rain. The TV in 208 is outdated with no smart features. Door lock between 280/209 looks like someone tried to break in with a screwdriver and the bathroom door in 209 looks like its been punched. The owners need to invest in these rooms if they are going to continue to rent them.

Individually owned rooms are not all equal. Some are good, some not. My cousin goes here often and loves it, so we had our wedding guest stay here several years ago and many were disappointed and the staff didn't seem to care. Dirty rooms, with broken items. If you get a good room the view is great, great beach and a nice pool with a tiki bar.

I went to celebrate my birthday. Its a great place with tiki bar and pool on the ocean. My only complaint is that you need to rent a car or use Uber mostly everywhere b/c it's far from restaurants/bars and stores.
