Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Clearwater

We had a wonderful stay at The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Clearwater! We normally stay with Hilton, but we will be back here. This is a very nice, clean, and well maintained hotel, centrally located near popular sites and activities. There is so much available within 30 minutes from the hotel. There are stores, restaurants within walking distance, topgolf, a nice Mall, and the beach of course. Our room, a double queen suite, was immaculate, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The entire staff was awesome, kind, and helpful from the moment we arrived. We truly enjoyed the pool and the delicious breakfast. I would be remiss in this review to not mention a few of the staff. First, I must mention the ONE not so good egg in the basket. Ed was brusk, unfriendly, and borderline rude. He didn't seem to like his job or people. The next day, I requested to speak to the manager, and Troy responded quickly. He listened carefully and sincerely apologized. Ed's attitude was the only "issue" in my entire 5 night stay, as the rest of the staff were on point. Luis, who took care of the breakfast, was super friendly. He was amiable and spoke to everyone. He even helped an older couple get situated with breakfast. Crystal's friendly smile at the front desk was a repeated breath of fresh air. David was incredibly helpful to everyone he encountered at the desk, on the phone, and in the lobby. Corey is the crown, as he made us feel at home. He absolutely went the extra mile with popcorn, conversation, and directions. These folks epitomized customer service and dedication. There attitude made it seem like they were on vacation along with us, as apposed to being at work.

The rooms are ok. Definitely needs some updates, which I can tell they are trying to make. The rooms are clean better than a motel. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The wifi didn't work with my room number and name so they had to give me a special code. That being said, they have THE BEST continental breakfast Ive seen in a while. Biscuits, gravy, pancake maker, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, assorted breads...baller. id seat here again j7st for that.

We stayed overnight during a business trip. The staff from greeting us to when we checked out was fantastic. The staff cooking the breakfast were so helpful, contentious and kind. The room felt clean but being in the business previously, it felt like a fake clean. A made bed and a bottle of Windex can make anything look good. The elevator needs attention for cleanliness as well. But overall it was a nice stay and I'd definitely stay again. Thank you to the staff.

I have traveled and stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. After driving 5 hours to get here, we were completely let down by both the property conditions and the staff. The Room & Property Conditions: The room had a terrible, noticeable odor the moment we walked in. The bathroom door would not lock, which is a major privacy issue. The bathtub was visibly rusty, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. To top it off, water was actively dripping from the ceiling in the breakfast area. The Service: The customer service was appalling. The night staff promised us a room change due to these issues. When I followed up with the front desk lady the next morning, she was incredibly rude. She dismissed the night staff by saying they "don't know anything," and then told me, "All our bathtubs are rusty, we cannot change the room." She then made an incredibly insulting, xenophobic comment, saying, "It might happen in your country, we don’t do it here." I have lived in the United States for more than 20 years. For a hospitality professional to make assumptions and insult a paying guest like that is disgusting. When she finally called the manager over, they only offered to change one of our rooms, showing a complete lack of accountability for the state of their hotel. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and stay somewhere where the property is maintained and the staff treats human beings with basic respect.

I stayed at this hotel location with my family and we had a great time! Thanks to the front desk staff, David and others! The breakfast is amazing! Everything was clean and we will definitely go back there again! RADiante family
