What Visitors Love
Amazing food...appetizers. since I couldn't just select one, I tried the calamari, fried shrimp and fried green tomatoes. The hog fish sliders are fantastic. The blue crap crusted grouper and cole slaw is fresh and delicious! Highly recommend!
This place is great. Our server & bartender Tim was on point. The whole staff work together to make sure everyone got their food promptly. The food was fresh and delicious. Their are local salad is amazing and you have to try the whole fried snapper. Great cocktails as well.
Hoag Island Fish Camp is one of those places that really captures the relaxed coastal spirit of Dunedin. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is always friendly, and it has become one of those local spots that people genuinely enjoy returning to again and again. On my latest visit, I had the Waltz Burger, and it was terrific. Great flavor, perfectly prepared, and exactly the kind of quality meal you hope for when dining at a local establishment that takes pride in what they serve. What I appreciate most about Hoag Island Fish Camp is that it feels authentic to our community. It has a comfortable, laid-back Florida feel while still delivering a consistently enjoyable dining experience. Places like this help make Dunedin special. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
I truly enjoyed Hog Island Fish Camp. Of course the obvious choice was the Hogfish. It was prepared just right and served with the most unique Key Lime slaw that paired perfectly! It has a very welcoming beach-themed atmosphere with friendly service, similar to an upscale beach dive. There is indoor and outdoor table seating, as well as a bar. Seems like it would be excellent for a group dinner venue. It is withing walking distance of the shops in Dunedin. This is my go-to for hogfish, I'm not aware of many places that serve hogfish in the area, and they do it perfectly. With the key lime slaw and neat little individual table lighting, you can't miss this place. I will definitely return for my perfectly-made Gulf seafood fix!
Five stars across the board. My wife and I decided to enjoy a short staycation in Dunedin and enjoy dinner at Hog Island Fish camp. We began with a cocktail and being a little hungry decided to start with the PEI muscles done in a coconut green curry and mirepoix. Never seen them done this way and what a surprise…unbelievably tasty. We then shared a beautiful piece of blackened grouper along with key lime slaw and their hand cut fries. That grouper was so fresh. Sue our server then recommended the Key Lime cheesecake which was phenomenal. Sue was great the whole meal thru and never steered us wrong. Don’t hesitate to go to Hog Island Fish Camp. You won’t be disappointed.
