Pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant like this in downtown Clearwater. Melanie, our server was absolutely perfect. The whole staff at that establishment was very friendly and kind. The pianist play really nice music. Food was excellent too. Thank you.

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience from the moment we sat down, everything felt classic, welcoming, and thoughtfully done. The food was exceptional across the board. The scallops were perfectly seared—tender, buttery, and served in a rich, flavorful sauce that didn’t overpower the dish. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and every plate that came to the table looked as good as it tasted. Even the sides and garnishes were clearly prepared with care. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable, making it ideal for both a special night out or a relaxed dinner by the beach. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. You can tell this place has been doing things the right way for a long time. If you’re in Clearwater Beach and want high-quality seafood with a timeless, elegant feel, this spot is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

2/14/26 — Food is decent but INSANELY overpriced. $125 Valentine’s Day dinner includes salad, choice of entree (NY strip, filet mignon, seafood platter or the lobster tails and choice of potato (baked, french fries or Au Gratin). Service was wonderful, atmosphere is nice and the live piano is nice but nowhere near worth the $300+ for a couple. As others have said when it’s not a holiday their menu is very plain with your choice of protein cost $78 and potato extra $12 and veggies for $14. Just be prepared to drop $250+ on a mediocre meal you’re better off going to Crabby’s or Frenchy’s for a better meal and much, much cheaper!

Beachcomber Restaurant in Clearwater was amazing! The staff was incredibly accommodating and Jeff was an outstanding waiter—friendly, attentive, and truly made the experience special. It was also my birthday, and the Baked Alaska was hands-down the best dessert I’ve ever had. Great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I went there for the first time to celebrate our anniversary because it was recommended by a friend and I can say it’ll be our last time going there. First off, they make you place reservations yet allow walk-ins straight from the beach (big groups too). Secondly, the waiter was absolutely terrible!! He single-handedly targeted my boyfriend, Tried to belittle him, and completely ignored him (would only talk to me). We were recommended this place because of its “amazing chicken” which is titles on the website! yet When my boyfriend asked for it, the waiter said he couldn’t do it because it’s for 12 and under, Look him straight in the face and said “it’s not worth it.” When we told the waiter that our friends have come to that restaurant for the chicken, he said that they were lying. Which is funny because a walk-in family sat behind us and their waiter recommended the chicken…. Their prices are ridiculous for the little amount of food you get which is basic! So food and service aren’t there so you’re pretty much paying for the ambience which is nice (The live piano was great) But not enough to keep going to that place! They are lucky that me nor my boyfriend wanted to make a scene and that we paid for our meals! For all that happen, we shouldn’t if we were gonna be treated horrendously. Bob Heilman’s can continue to run their business into the ground, website menu and 5 star review don’t match at all (at least not currently)
