Happy's Bayou Bites

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with big flavor and even better vibes, Happy’s Bayou Bites absolutely delivers. I stopped in recently and was seriously impressed. The crawfish étouffée was rich, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor—exactly what you want from a classic Cajun dish. The crawfish sausage was just as good, with a great snap and a nice balance of spice without overpowering the crawfish. What really set the experience apart, though, was the atmosphere. The outdoor seating gave it a relaxed, bayou feel…easygoing, comfortable, and the kind of place you want to linger a while. Between the food and the setting, it felt more like an experience than just a meal. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you appreciate good Cajun cooking and a chill environment. I’ll be back.

Excellent experience here after a spur-of-the-moment stroll away from the Pinellas Trail. Fresh and delicious Cajun food with a very pleasant atmosphere. Hush puppies were exquisite and I am typically not a fan. The fried catfish etouffee was devoured so quickly I barely got a picture. The coleslaw has a unique spiciness.

Been going here for a while. They do a happy hour. They also sometimes have live music. Food choices I prefer their chicken and sausage, gator, shrimp, oysters, crawfish and catfish. Hush puppies and the gumbo recommend trying. Drinks got a selection of wines and beers. Definitely a must go to place. Go here and enjoy laid back vibes.

I finally found the best Cajun food in Florida, and it’s right here in Dunedin. This place is an absolute hidden gem—small, cozy, and full of character. The food is as authentic as it gets. You can taste the soul in every bite—real Cajun and Creole flavors that remind me of home. From the seasoning to the way everything is cooked, it’s clear this isn’t watered-down or commercialized… it’s the real deal. If you’re looking for true Louisiana-style cooking, this spot delivers. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and that kind of charm you just don’t find everywhere. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.

Great place to tryout fried Gator tail and Blackend crawfish. Very good flavor and decent prices. Lemonade was good too. Definitely will be back if have a chance to visit town.
