Guppy's on the Beach

On the Fourth of July, we had a wonderful lunch at Guppy’s on the Beach, a true local gem in Belleair Beach. The restaurant is well‑known among residents for its fresh seafood, and it absolutely lived up to the reputation. We ordered the Surf & Turf and the Fresh Blackened Grouper, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For dessert, we shared a refreshing key lime pie that was the perfect finishing touch. Guppy’s has officially become our favorite restaurant in the Belleair Beach area, and we’ll definitely be coming back.

My favorite place to eat when in town. Consider the Lobster Bisque as a starter which is excellent as is the Fish Spread. I got the Crab Cake and Cold Slaw to finish up. Always consistent on food and service. They do a call ahead list. Busy but the outside seating is great. Parking can be tough at prime times. Don’t miss this place when in area. Btw- Great Park right across the street to catch the beach sunset.

My sister and I went for lunch on 4/21/2026 for my birthday which was Monday. I had the Fish and Chips with fries, and Cole slaw. My sister had the Chicken Quesadillas with fruit. The food was hot and delicious. Both lunches were excellent. My first time here. Chelsea our waitress was friendly, kept checking on us. I wanted a Margarita she suggested the Mango Margarita. I had two. They were excellent. I will definitely be back. I want to try the Fish Tacos next. If I could I would give them 10 stars!!

Just a great experience from start to finish! Made a reservation online, love you can choose the area of restaurant preferred. Even though we arrived a little early we were seated immediately in a wonderful table in the covered patio area. Leah provided fantastic service and never rushed us through the appetizers, meal and dessert. Everything we had was well prepared and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the “Angels on Horseback” oysters in addition to the raw oysters.

We tried the recommended lobster bisque it was just ok, tasted like brown gravy not much lobster. We had the appetizer lobster escargo was very tasty. The grouper sandwich was soon good. They have an extensive gluten free menu which was great. Also tried poke bowl which was OK. Cute place, great service. Would go back and try some other stuff.
