Gulfview Hotel - On the Beach

My visit was between 8/15/26 - 8/16/26. (Sat & Sun). I'm not sure what other reviewers were talking about; maybe things have changed since they stayed, but my experience couldn't have been better. I arrived to the hotel an hour before check in. My room wasn't ready yet, so they upgraded me to a bigger room for free, that still had an ocean view. They didn't even take a security deposit or an additional fee of any kind from my credit card. The entire hotel was very clean. No bad smells - actually smelled really good. I noticed some automated scent sprayers on the walls, so that's probably where it was coming from. The beds were comfortable, the pool and hot tub were clean, and the beach area was perfect. I noticed some reviews mentioned the loud music from the hotel next door. When I was on the balcony I could absolutely hear it. But once I walked back in the room and shut the sliding glass door it wasn't even noticeable. It didn't affect my sleep at all, and I was in a room directly across from it. There isn't breakfast, but the rooms have a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, stove, toaster, and a sink. They also supply dishware such as plates, bowls, cups, mugs and silverware. There's also countless places to eat within a very short walking distance. This is one of the lowest cost hotels directly on Clearwater beach, and for the price they really go above & beyond. I would absolutely stay here again.

Very decent hotel for being so close to clearwater beach! However I thought we would have beach access to the main clearwater beach (like where you could walk to peir 60), but it was just a very small like 50 foot wide sectioned off section of beach... but all the staff were awesome. The rooms were nice & clean. Not run down at all like I was worried about because of the great price.

Rooms aren't as bad as everyone says they may have a little smell and dampness but your also on the beach so it should be expected really its always damp here. The staff has been very helpful. Super nice people. The elevator is down still. It's been down for over a week now honestly I don't think its gonna be up anytime soon so if you have trouble going up and down stairs maybe see if you can get the bottom two floors. Overall its been a good place especially for the price compared to everywhere else around.

First time staying here and we were not disappointed. The hotel has a pool, hot tub and private beach. It’s within walking distance to many things including awesome mini golf across the street. We walked to the pier, stores and restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have beach towels you can check out each day. Free coffee in the lobby also. And they have sand toys and beach chairs if you ask :) Not a bad hotel for the price. Our room was clean.
