When I’m on vacation, I always make sure to check out some breweries. On my recent trip to the Tampa area, I managed to visit three breweries, with Grand Central Brewhouse being the last one I hit. Oh boy, was I impressed! I started with the Tropical Leg Day IPA, and it was one of the best IPAs I’ve had in ages. Then, I switched things up and tried the Project Possum pre-prohibition lager. I’d never heard of a pre-prohibition style beer before, but on my first sip, I immediately said out loud,“Wow, this is really good beer!” For food, we had a shrimp cocktail and pretzel bites. My wife said that the shrimp cocktail was the freshest she’d ever tasted, and the pretzel bites were just perfect for me. Apparently, the brewery has teamed up with the restaurant next door, LALA, and the menu looks amazing. If we hadn’t had dinner reservations at a restaurant in Indian Rocks Beach that night, we would have had dinner there. The brewery staff were fantastic, and both guys working there were incredibly knowledgeable about the beers they had. St. Petersburg has a bunch of breweries. I’m so glad I randomly picked this one when I was trying to decide where to go. I’m sure the other breweries are also great, but I can guarantee that if you visit Grand Central Brewhouse, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful brewery! The music & vibes are enjoyable at this pet friendly brewery!  It was packed on a Saturday evening and the crowd seemed to be having a good time! The service was understandably slow, but it was a crazy busy night, they did what they could & we appreciate the efforts 👍🏼 We enjoyed a few good beers, the house sangria was great too but the food was mehhhh.... We decided to not eat anything else here after tasting the calamari, it was undercooked and underwhelming. We'd stop by again for beers if we're in the area.

Grand Central Brewhouse is a great spot. I celebrated my birthday there and had an excellent experience. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the beer selection was great. It’s a perfect place to meet with friends, relax, and enjoy a good local brewery. Highly recommend!

Been here a few times. Their stout beer is very good and had a great reggae band playing tonight. Live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday and you can order food from Lala next door and have it delivered to your table. Loved the mac-n-cheese, dry rubbed wings, meatballs, and son loved his fries. Have a great outdoor patio and tables and open a huge garage type door so live music can be heard inside too. Also have sports on big tvs too. Great place! Dog friendly and have a beer called Vanderlay Industries which is quite tasty

Nice brewery! Been here at least half a dozen times and always enjoyed it. Staff are attentive and friendly, and the beer styles provide a good level of options. Nothing has blown my socks off compared to some of its local competition, but the brewery offers enough to keep me coming back.
