Folly Farms Nature Preserve
Folly Farm Nature Preserve, a magical place located in the heart of Safety Harbor, has something for every nature lover. Visitors can walk through the native plant and butterfly gardens, leading to the natural walking trail that winds around a wetland area for approximately a quarter mile trek.
After a quick nature walk, visitors will want to stop by the Farmhouse to say a quick “hello” to our farm friends. The Folly Farmhouse area is currently home to 6 chickens, 5 rabbits, 3 goats, 2 guinea pigs, and 1 tortoise. If you want to have an even more up-close experience, visitors can book an animal encounter for a nominal fee to have chance to interact with our farm friends.
Folly Farm is home to Gnomeo, a 17-foot-tall wooden gnome sculpture, and a wind phone to connect people with loved ones who are no longer with us.
If you want to make Folly Farm the place for your next gathering or event, the nature preserve and Farmhouse offer multiple locations and amenities for rental space. From the open-air barn to our fire pit, we have the perfect place to bring people together.
In addition to all of this, the Folly Farm Nature Preserve and Farmhouse host a variety of recurring and one-time events and programs. For all of the activities, you can check out the REAL: Recreation, Events, Arts & Leisure Magazine online at SafetyHarborRecreation.com.
