Stopped for drinks at the outdoor bar and was greeted by Stephen with excellent cocktails, magic tricks, and excellent conversation. He was hands down the best bartender we experienced in St Pete. A couple of locals to chat with was cool as well. Neat place. Clean bathrooms.

Tucked into the lively strip near the waterfront, Flute & Dram has carved out a reputation as one of the go-to spots for serious whiskey lovers and a solid night out. At its core, this is a bourbon and cigar bar that knows exactly what it’s doing. The whiskey selection is extensive, with a deep bench of allocated and hard-to-find bottles that you don’t come across often. Whether you’re a casual sipper or someone who knows their way around a top shelf, there’s plenty here to explore. The standout, though, is the Old Fashioned. It’s easily one of the best around. There’s clear attention to detail, right down to the mineral ice cubes stamped with the F&D initials. It’s a small touch, but it adds to the overall experience and shows how much care goes into each drink. The atmosphere hits a sweet spot. Live music brings energy without overwhelming the space, and they consistently bring in solid talent. It feels upscale but not stiff, the kind of place where you can settle in and stay awhile. Seating is flexible, which helps depending on your mood. You’ve got indoor seating, spots right at the bar, and outdoor options including a more relaxed lounge area. It’s easy to find your own corner and make it your space for the night. On the food side, the menu leans small but refined. Think high-end bites like sturgeon caviar, more about complementing the drinks than filling you up. Being a sister bar to Ruby’s Elixir, it shares that same attention to music and atmosphere, but with a more focused, whiskey-forward identity. Overall, this is the kind of place you go when you want a great drink, good music, and a vibe that feels just right without trying too hard.

Wouldn’t recommend the food. Drinks were fine. Well decorated , indoor/outdoor, live cover song band which can be hard to get into as there’s also live music at the place next door.
