Dolphin Sands Clearwater Beach
It started with a shared passion for marine life and the environment. Winter the Dolphin's Beach Club was developed as the first eco-friendly hotel on Clearwater Beach. The hotel, honors the spirit of rescued marine life with a tribute to Clearwater Marine Aquarium's most famous rescued resident animal, Winter the Dolphin (2005-2021). Funds from each room night will go toward animal care, education, research and conservation of marine animals. Overlooking Sand Key Park and Clearwater Pass, the white sands on Clearwater Beach await, as do the warm, calm waters of the Gulf. This hotel is close to Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and when the end of the day nears, join the celebration at Sunsets at Pier 60.
What Visitors Love
Eric at the front desk was exceptionally patient with me and my elderly parents and our challenges. The entire staff was INCREDIBLE and the location, SUPERB!!!... My only comment for others that have difficulty with noise- would be,... this is defiently more of a party spot then a stuffy upscale, quiet resort. Its definently a CLASSIC "mom & pop" kinda, vintage, very unique and memorable place. The private beach is stunning and the location, unbelievable for us Colorado folks. ... We feel so lucky to have made memories here. !!! Thank you Dolphin Sands Hotel.
Clean rooms, excellent location, great staff. Beach access is fantastic w/ a nice pool (no hot tub). Love love love the access to cabana bar/grill that has excellent food and drink. Going up to the rooftop bar next door was awesome as well! Walking distance to many great shops and restaurants. 20min walk from Pier 60. Overall no complaints and we’ll be back!
Family/kid friendly hotel decently priced. Kids receive free breakfast with purchase of adult meal. The views are breath taking as hotel is right on the beach/private beach. Room was very clean, staff was super friendly all the way around.They have a resturant downstairs and the food/pricing was good. The only real complaint I had is due to the type of flooring I felt like it was easier to hear noises, but not horrible/unbearable. Hotel is super close to attractions, ice cream parlor and other resturants.
