OMFG! 10000/10!!!! Came for the first time from Tampa and will ABSOLUTELY be coming back! The clam chowder was to die for, Hot Sauces were AMAZING! Bought 6 bottles, Ceviche was the BEST I’ve had (and I’m picky) Tostadas great! blackened chicken was SO JUICEY! (Not always guaranteed for grilled chicken) amazingly seasoned. Everything was delicious! Busy but service was superb! Becky was our server and she truly touched my heart and set the bar high for service standard. Reasonably priced for location and views. Please come
We were in town for a Rays game and came here on the suggestion from a friend that is local. Overall a good experience, food was tasty and view was great even though it was dark outside. Server was not very attentive and had an overall “blah” personality. Never came to check on us after the food was delivered and we ran out of beverages pretty early in the meal. Asked for a refill on a drink and never got it. Had to ask for the desert that came with the kids meal, which he seemed bothered by it. We ordered the orange ginger shrimp, the 1/2 roasted chicken, the Cuban sandwich, and a kids fish and fries. Also the “Pier Pressure” drink from the bar, which was tasty, but seemed like it lacked any of the alcohol. The only flavor there was ginger beer, and had so much ice in the drink that from the beginning it tasted like a watered down drink that one might pass off on a person that was already on the verge of being over-served. For the price of the drink, it was pretty disappointing. Food tasted great though.
Made reservations for 9:15 on a Sunday night. Started off with taquitos, they were very good. Much more sweet than spicy. We ordered the seared mahi mahi and pulled pork meal. Both were good. Pulled pork was nothing to write home about but the mahi mahi was very good. The only place this restaurant fell short was the server. Unfortunately, our server, Jake, had a pretty blah personality. This restaurant accepts reservations up to 9:45 so I can’t imagine it was a “we close soon” reason for the personality. Price was good $60 for two of us.
My fiance and I went here a week ago after visiting the pier. We had previously gone to Doc Ford's in Jungle Terrace. Upon arrival we asked the male hostess if we sat outside if we could sit in the shade and if he didn't think it was shady we would just sit inside. He was a bit sassy and said "i can't make any promises" and then proceeded to sit us at the sunniest table possible outside which was annoying because he should've just told us we'd be better off sitting inside. However our initial server outside was very understanding and accommodating and helped us quickly get a table inside Besides that, our server was very nice and efficient. I had the cheesy bread with bacon as an app which was tasty and the grouper sandwich with fries which was really good. I also thoroughly enjoyed the variety of their sauces that are available on the table. My fiance had the shrimp tacos with the veggies which she enjoyed her meal as well. It was crowded but it was a good meal and the restaurant itself has some great views!
We stopped in to get a bite to eat. We had a great view of the water and pier. The restaurant has indoor/outdoor dining along with bar seating. We started with an order of fried calamari which was really good. I also had a cup of New England clam chowder which was not how I usually like (thick) but it was flavorful. For my entree I had the rack of ribs which were lightly sauced and tasted good. We also had an order of wings and flatbread. The flatbread was really crunch and flavorful. The star of the day was the panko fried shrimp which was full of large shrimp. Overall, we really liked this place and would come back if in the area.
