Dimitri's on the Water

Dimitri’s on the Water was recommended to us by our boat captain after our trip to Caladesi Island, and we’re so glad we took his advice! As luck would have it, there was a craft festival happening right outside along the Sponge Docks, so we spent time browsing local vendors, walking the marina, and soaking up the atmosphere before dinner. The restaurant has beautiful waterfront views and a relaxed coastal vibe. We ordered a Painkiller cocktail and an ice-cold draft beer while enjoying some incredibly fresh Greek cuisine. Everything tasted homemade, flavorful, and fresh. The combination of delicious food, waterfront dining, the marina views, and the lively atmosphere made for a perfect afternoon in Tarpon Springs.

This establishment was a delightful spot situated by the water. I particularly enjoy restaurants with waterfront views. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining options. The cuisine was authentically Greek and absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The generous portion of cheese on my salad was a pleasant surprise! Our waiter was excellent; he was highly efficient and promptly provided us with water upon our arrival, which was especially appreciated on a warm day after exploring the charming sights of this quaint town. The interior decor was very appealing, creating an immersive Greek restaurant atmosphere. The grapevines adorning the walls were one of my favorite features, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his gyro. I am pleased that we chose to dine there. It was a lovely and relaxing experience after our stroll around downtown and the Sponge Docks.

I regret not dining here but we did have drinks and a snack here twice! There is really just so many good restaurants in Tarpon Springs. Dimitri’s has a great location and facility. They have indoor and covered outdoor areas with seating. On a cool day the outdoor seating would be fabulous. In the shade and right on the water. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Holly behind the bar was especially nice and helpful taking care of us. Be sure and try the saganaki! Opa! In their cooler was a school of fresh whole snapper and that is what I will get the next time I go. Don’t miss the waterfront experience. Maybe I’ll see you there. Urban Cowgill June 2026

We absolutely love Dimitri’s on the Water! Every time we arrive, the staff truly rolls out the red carpet for us and our guests—it’s exceptional service from start to finish. The owner, managers, and entire staff are simply the best—welcoming, attentive, and always going above and beyond. The food is consistently incredible—fresh, flavorful, and authentically Greek—and the waterfront views are simply unbeatable. It’s the perfect place to bring our clients for a memorable experience on the water. We’re also looking forward to offering sunset cruises for all of Dimitri’s customers—such a perfect way to pair an amazing meal with a beautiful evening on the water. No complaints here I've been to Tarpon Springs several times and I always try and check out a new place for Greek food so this was my first time here. Luckily there was seating open out on the rear deck overlooking the harbor area so I made for a pleasant backdrop for some great Greek food. It was a 92° day but with the deck being covered and fans blowing right on the water it actually felt fine. Since this was lunch time I wasn't looking for a huge meal but I did order the dolmades entree with the oven roasted potatoes and that was perfect. Also the egg lemon soup was dead on perfect the way I used to remember it when I was a little kid 😁 Needless to say next time I'm in Tarpon springs I'll swing by again.
