First, let's review the course. You drop your bags and load them yourself. The proshop attendant was cordial. The starters were amazing and friendly and full of information. Because of them, we'd come back. Our round was 4 hrs and 40 min. The guys in front of us had no one in front of them, and no ranger around. It was brutal. Yep we're beginners. The course is in pretty good shape. It's challenging enough if you don't have an accurate shot. It's nicely laid out and scenic. The fairways were in really good shape The restaurant opens at 11. We stopped on the turn. The two we played with called in their order, which we didn't think to do for a hot dog. The bartender let us know that there is a big sign on 8 that says to call in. She did get us a hot dog anyway. A server was filling pitchers of water and wasn't happy about it. We asked for one to fill our water bottles as the water on the curse was empty. She gave it to us and said she wasn't filling pitchers all day we could go to the water station on one. Wow. Ok. She must have been having a bad day. The grill, was more of a restaurant, which would explain no ready hot dogs. Our mistake.btw, the hot was good.
Enjoyed this course. Very getable, great views of Tampa Bay and course was in good condition. Had Ping G430’s for rental clubs. Tee’d off at 7:37, was done in under 4 hours.
Good course. Good condition. Slow pace of play. Cart died on the 17th hole and we had to walk back to the clubhouse in the rain. Staff didn’t seem to care or offer any apology. Besides that it was an enjoyable round.
Extremely challenging.. No cash, card only No hot dogs or soda at the turn around? This would be a perfect course for a roving Snack cart with beer,, sandwiches etc
Short course, but definitely the most difficult course in Pinellas county. Bardmoor comes in second. You better be a single digit handicap if you plan on playing here. Lots of trees and ponds will cost you strokes unless you hit a laser straight tee shot. Also, every green is a raised bowl shaped green guarded with two or three bunkers each. Tee boxes were terrible dirt patches peppered with weeds. Fairways are hard pan with very few patches of good grass to hit from. Bunkers are cheap dirt and not sand. Greens are Bermuda and are lightning fast. They were in meh, shape, but very difficult. If you are used to shooting 100-130, then this course is for you. Course definitely needs a facelift. Take the time and spend a little more money to play courses in Bradenton or Sarasota, you will be much happier. On a positive note, there were some nice views of Tampa Bay and the Bayside bridge on the back nine. That was a stress reliever. Overall, I don’t plan on ever playing here again, as I’m sure you surmised, especially for $78 in April of 2026.
