Courtney Campbell Trail
The Courtney Campbell Trail is a 8' to 12'-wide paved path providing joggers, cyclists and skaters seeking sunshine, breezes and panoramic views of Upper Tampa Bay with a safe passage between Clearwater and Tampa. The path runs along the entire southern side of the Courtney Campbell Causeway, from the Veterans Expressway in Tampa to Bayshore Boulevard in Clearwater, as well as connecting to recreational trails on both sides of the Bay. The 9.5-mile trail includes a two bridges offer spectacular views. The 5.5-mile portion in Tampa / Hillsborough County, including a 45'-high bridge, was completed in Fall 2013. The newest part of the trail is a 4-mile extension that completes the crossing of the bay and extends west into Clearwater, providing users access to the popular Pinellas Trail and the Duke Energy Trail via Clearwater's Ream Wilson East-West Trail.
